I am 13, and I adore the Song Of Songs (Solomon). I actually find it sorta funny. When I was younger (like 10) I would imatate it saying, "And your breast are like the hills of jorden, like a cluster of grapes...." Hehe, anyways, I especcially like Proverbs, so much good stuff in there. Lot's of advice, I encourage veryone to read it!

There are some really nice and enjoyable parts of the bible. If you look at it as what it *really* is, a collection of writings from a single culture over hundreds of years, and enjoy the poetry and other creative aspects of it, it can be an interesting read for the most part.
Then again, try slugging through leviticus and numbers...and see how far you get before you need caffeine...:)

I'm studying the Song of Solomon right now with a couples group. It's very interested and uncomfortable at times. The bible is far from boring.

Nope the Bible is definitely not boring. You want romance or action/adventure or war stories or history or philosophy, and much more, it's all in there. The only ones who find it boring are those who don't take the time to learn about what they are reading and fully understand it

You're right. The Bible is far from boring. There is so much great stuff in there. It's just a matter of seeing and understanding.

I totally dig the Song of Songs too. My fiance and I read it together to understand the emotions of love better. It is excellent.
Proverbs is great as well as Psalms. Boring is not what I find the Bible to be.

Yeah. I really enjoy the part where there's all that begatting going on between members of the same family.
Sodom and Gomorrah is pretty gay too.

Boring. Nah! With all the fights, gory violence, sex scenes, visions, dreams, appearances of gods and demons, killings, murders, high adventure, wars, deceptions, how can it be boring?
