This is what Jesus prayed for over and over again in the bible that His Church be PERFECTLY ONE CHURCH with only ONE FAITH. He said that His Church would be a light to the world, and a city on set on a hill can't be hidden. (Paraphrasing)

Please don't say that we are all united because we are not, there are over 33,000 Protestant denominations (divisions) calling themselves "Christian" but each teaching something totally different about Jesus and salvation and each following it's own tradition by the one who founded it.

Watering down the faith to the lowest common denominator is not an option because it would be pointless to make Christianity just like what rest of the world teaches.

I wonder if there has been a curse on me. I was raped at age 12 by a man my fathers age. My father was in the military and was often very tough and subject to rages. I ended up even in my spiritual life subject to ministers who had anger problems. My friend even told me " i am concerned about you..you end up with men who abuse you ". I have even seemed to pick lovers that are abusive. They seem fine at first then turn out to be very volitile. What the heck is my problem? Why have i been a magnet for mean and angry and even viloent men ? Is it a spiritual curse ?I really do not pick these men on purpose. Please give me advice.I am 18 now and I cant take this anymore. Its been to long.

Thanks religious right,

instead of debating Iraq, Iran, North Korea, education, social security, immigration, my government is taking up the idea of excluding someone from my government's contract with me, the United States Constitution.

This God of yours, that in your truth the king james, which says the homosexual conduct is an abomination, you would rather see to it that your government ensures that the world knows that we as a nation our on your Gods side. They will be done.

You pawns. You hypocrites.

Are you as a Christian ashamed?

I voted for Bush in 2000, I feel the shame. Such a mistake I can't take back.

Your mister bush says Jesus is his favorite philosopher, Jesus said feed the hungry, and yet your mister bush must have read into it feed the hungry white, and now we see his true reading of the king james, feed only the straight white.

Thank you religious right, one less day of saving social security, one less day of saving education.

I wonder why God chose to send His Son, Jesus with His Message into the Middle East, and not to another contenent where pagan religions and spiritualities were more prevailent.

It seems odd that Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge and Christ is born into the "civilized world." Not, primative and pagan locations. What's your take on this?

There is a vaccine for cervical cancer that is going through approval so far it has a 100% success rate. Conservatives are opposed to it because they say it will promote teenage sex. How many people even knew that Cervical Cancer was a potentially sexually transmitted and this still screws the people that get it through heredity.
I also have met a woman whose husband cheated on her and gave it to her does she deserve to die because of the Conservatives views.

I'm 14 and I've only been to church about three times. I don't think that there is a god, namely the gigantic white man in the sky, but I also don't belive in worshiping one man so much. I do respect people with faith, but do not think that setting my heart to one path is right for me. I've relized, and I'm nto saying all people of god, but thsoe who are devoted to church don;t have a very open mind.

So please tell me if you do or don;t belive directly in god. And what your opinions are on teh following. I'm not trying to prove a point here. Jut break down some straiotypes I have.
Gay people-
Muslums-
Atheists-
Premarrital sex-
Abortion-
People not of your religion-
People dateing out of their religion-

(just so you know. I support/ don't mind anything on that list.)

The bible says the end cannot be expected by men, because only he knows. Dont you think the end would be a little less obvious then 6/6/06?

Now, you have to understand, I am neither a scientologist nor a supporter of same by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, I'm always extremely disappointed in a celebrity when I find out they're a scientologist (you'd think people like Beck would know better). Even the word "scientology" bothers me. It's like some stupid person trying to say the word "science" and botching it horribly...the suffix "-ology" means "the study of," so, based off of that, scientology would be the study of...science? I dunno, it makes little sense to me. And the creation story and methods for becoming a higher-up are simply ridiculous. It sounds like science fiction. In fact, it IS science fiction, based on its creator's credentials.

But, as the actual question already implies, I am playing devil's advocate for just a moment, and a teacher of mine brought up a really good point: what if it turned out to be right?

Serously, what's this about women being people, Feminists get over it because: Women are not people, they are devices made by the lord Jesus Christ for the sexuall gratifacation of men!!! You can't change that by making Fireman into fireperson!!

Just curious since so many of you believe tomorrow starts "the end of days."
My husband is Christian.
I am agnostic.
Do you believe your God will seperate us, even though we are in a loving and commited relationship? My husband has told me that it would not be Heaven without me, but Hell.

Just curious on your thoughts...

I guess to a certain point, each individual has a personal conception of the deity he/she believes in.

I used to be Catholic. Now I'm an atheist. But I'm respectful of other peoples beliefs.

1. Could someone explain to me where lies the validity of the beliefs of people who do not accept in full, the doctrines of the churches/sacred texts? I've met a lot of people who seem to live by a very PERSONAL interpretation of the Bible.

2. Aren't separatist groups, by definition, less worthy of recognition?

Thanks in advance.
