Thanks religious right,

instead of debating Iraq, Iran, North Korea, education, social security, immigration, my government is taking up the idea of excluding someone from my government's contract with me, the United States Constitution.

This God of yours, that in your truth the king james, which says the homosexual conduct is an abomination, you would rather see to it that your government ensures that the world knows that we as a nation our on your Gods side. They will be done.

You pawns. You hypocrites.

Are you as a Christian ashamed?

I voted for Bush in 2000, I feel the shame. Such a mistake I can't take back.

Your mister bush says Jesus is his favorite philosopher, Jesus said feed the hungry, and yet your mister bush must have read into it feed the hungry white, and now we see his true reading of the king james, feed only the straight white.

Thank you religious right, one less day of saving social security, one less day of saving education.

Gays are roughly 10% of the American population. Homophobes are rather more than that. Do the math. The Republican party will be decimated if it concentrates on any of the matters it's been so negligent about in the past six years. So the important thing is to create a smokescreen - choose a (completely innocent) scapegoat, and pounce on it. Get the people wasting their time worrying about two people living their lives and not hurting other people and hope that they'll forget about all of the things that matter that have become worse over the last six years. It's the simplest of political tactics and they've gotten away with it time and time again.

----------------

A few sentences from Bush's 2006 State of the Union address:

"To confront the great issues before us, we must act in a spirit of goodwill and respect for one another."

"Every step toward freedom in the world makes our country safer -- so we will act boldly in freedom's cause."

"Far from being a hopeless dream, the advance of freedom is the great story of our time."

"Liberty is the right and hope of all humanity."

"America is a great force for freedom and prosperity. Yet our greatness is not measured in power or luxuries, but by who we are and how we treat one another. So we strive to be a compassionate, decent, hopeful society."

If hypocrisy were a form of currency, America could have paid off its national debt in a single day!

Im getting fed up with the Soddam and Gamorrah thing, Ive kept my mouth shut but im feeling that I no longer can, fire nad brimstone nad all. Jees, fire and brimestone came for the tar that was in the area and still is. Randomly though it would float on teh sea and they used it as a wetproofing agent. Yes when you loight it it goes up in flames, if just tar thats all. The area of soddam and gamorrah is tectonically active, very active its at an area of three plate boundries, teh european, afrian and asian plates. They were destroyed by an eathrquake much like the city of helikie in 373AD where an earthquake covered the entire city in debris nad basically wiped it off the map. Liquidfraction thats the cause not blomming orgies nad homosexuality......

To your question Jim or should that be Spock, erm yup your goverment is more concerned with making everyone in teh US live under the umbrella of christanity our is doing the opposite making us live under the umbrella of religions tolerant. We are both going to the extremes though which is bad. Better things in the world to contend with than homosexuality, you know my stance on this.

I voted for John Edwards, but Kerry got in the way, it was the lesser of two evils. That was my first presidential election and it was a ruff one. I could tell from the first that Bush was a liar though and I was hoping for Dean, but we all know what happened there. I'm just hoping '08 turns out a better lot and yes I will vote for Hillary Clinton over another 8 yrs of this cr*p.

I don't see any of gods will in this government at all. And, none in mister bush for that matter.

Didn't that kjv say something about being wary of wolves in sheeps clothing? Perhaps, this mister bush is deceiving the religious right...perhaps, we are on our way to becoming a theocracy.

Perhaps, the religious right should consider itself warned...

So just because Bush is following God's Holy Word, he is a bad man? Cities and nations in the Bible that permitted homosexuality were often completely destroyed. i.e., sodom and gommorah. btw, he is not refusing to feed anyone. he is simply denying you the right to be legally bound in marriage to a person of the same gender, and seeing as how marriage is defined in most dictionaries as legally binding a man and a woman, i see no room for complaint. I greatly respect our leader, for the Godly man he is, and for how he as handled the many crises during his presidency.

To spock_darwin: I agree with you ideas, though I usually express mine differently.

To DougDoug: Had I known you about a week ago, I had 60 bags of Skittles® at my disposal.

To suggir_bear: Aren’t his intentions fairly plain?

To Spartacus: SOME PEOPLE DON’T BELIEVE IN GOD. Please don’t force your religion down my throat. It’s really a pet peeve of mine.
