Do you think the priest shortage in the Catholic church will cause some dramatic changes?

Our parish is adopting new guidelines in the next five years. This means any parish with less than 500 families will have to share a priest and those with less than 2800 families will have no associate pastor. And, with declining numbers it looks like this fits the bill for a lot of churches.

There is already much buzzing about allowing priests to marry and allowing women priests.

Do you think this could spawn new changes?
Or, do you think more people will just drift away from the Catholic church?

Does it refer truly to a struggle within the soul, a fight against unbelievers, both, or other?

There has been this deep running fear in my heart of especially men after being raped. I have felt it in my being like it is a river running just below my conscious mind. There have been times that I have been in the Mall and couldnt shake this fear that all men in the entire Mall were going to stab me or harm me or yell at me.It has for years made me very nervous and at times I catch myself and realize Im unconsciously holding my breath and have to stop and deep breath for a minute to calm down and feel better.It has affected every single thing I did even in the smallest decisions.I wonder why I am so afraid and at times if i stop and just clear my mind and consciously say to myself " I dont give a d___ what anybody thinks " then I feel this temporary rush of some kind of freedom bliss. But I havent been able to hold that thought. Why have i had to struggle so deeply to just be happy for a few moments ? Why has it rushed away from me so quickly ? What does God do for this stuff?
