Well I try and read what I am dealing with at the moment. Like if I am dealing with debt then I would read about finances wealth..etc. If I am dealing with trying to forgive then I would try and find verses that deal with forgiveness. If I am trying to believe for healing then I would read all the scriptures about healing. If I am discouraged then I would read the scripture that encourage me. If I having no faith then I would read the scriptures that pertain to faith. This is what God showed me to do because I was in the same spot as you....What's going on in your life? What are you trying to battle? And you can find a lot of references on different web sites that can help you find the scriptures. Here is a web site that you might like and I like: Hope it helps :)

Psalm 139. Starts with confession that God knows all, then the awareness of God's knowledge grows until Psalmist understands that God wrote every day of his life in a book before the Psalmist was born. Ends with invitation for God to know him more and more. Get your mind around this, then read Isaiah the Prophet chapters 40-end of prophecy. Pray, and then you will know more where to read.

Pick a topic from a chain reference Bible or something like that, where you can pick something relative to what's going on in your life.
Or read the last chapter in Proverbs, if you are a woman, it's heart-warming and encouraging.

Sometimes, GOD wants you to pray instead. If the Bible ain't a talking to ya, then pray, you should always read your Bible every-day, that's where you get FAITH from, and FAITH is like gas in the tank of your car, you use it up every-day going places!!!!!

Let fate decide. Just flip pages until you stop. Even if you've read that portion before you may get something new out of it.
