How can contradicting beliefs be right at the same time? No, you can't pick and choose what you want because that means you are just making up your own religion. How do you know it's the truth? If I have a belief that will drive my life I want it to be the truth and not just some farytale I made up. I'm a Christian not just because my momma told me to. I searched and studied (and still do) and have come to the conclusion that true Biblical Christianity is the most logical and intelligent faith. In my search I even thought that if there was no spiritual truth at all and that if we were just a bunch of animals all alone in the Universe then I would be at peace with that. However all the evidence pionts to a personal God and Creator and that the Bible is His revelation to mankind of who He is. Keep searching and don't let yourself be brainwashed. Think for yourself before you believe what anyone tells you (yes, including me) no matter how nice it sounds. If you are truly seeking the truth and not just a crutch or a fantasy to excuse your actions then you will find it.
"The Case for Faith" by Lee Strobbel and "The Creator Boyond Time and Space" (can't remember author) are awesome books that helped me to find the truth from an intelligent point of view.

Yes it is 100% possible, every religion has some concepts which suit to a person according to his nature, i am a muslim, but i have strong attraction towards buddhist concepts and I also apply then in my religion, like the buddhist method of meditation, I use it while I pray for a better concentration.

ABSLOUTELY!
Your faith should be an almagum (not actually sure on that spelling), like you are. That may mean that you perfer the Islamic idea of Charity to the traditional Christian view, or like a Buddhist wedding/healing ceremony instead of your own. Religion is about you and your relationship with whatever power moves you, not about conforming to fit a mold.

Yes, I do it all the time, the important thing is to not get upset or anger, don't be smart or rude, and listen to them when it is their turn to talk, then explain you beliefs when it your turn. Always keep a short calm voice, and if it start to get alittle un easy, stop the sharing, or change the subjected. God don't mind you talking and learning, he don't like all this rude hateful stuff though.

That is pretty illogical. You either ascribe to beliefs or you don't. You can say that I like certian aspects of Christianity and certian aspects of Islam for example. But if you don't ascribe to the beliefs, then you can't call yourself either one of them. That would be akin to saying something like "I am a fiscal conserviative, but I think that the govenrment should tax everyone and redistribute their wealth."
It just doesn't work.

I grew up with many influences. My parents were Russian Molokan, My uncle Jehovah witness, went to a southern Baptist private school, best friend's Mormon, went to a Brethern church on Sundays, when I grew up I immersed myself in several different philosophies. Conclusion, spirituality comes from within. I gleaned a little from many aspects.

Of course. Christianity is rooted in Judaism, and Islam is based in small part on the Judeo-Christian tradition.

One would be foolish to think that their birth "religion" or any organized faith had a monopoly on the truth.
There's a wealth of inspiration out there just waiting to be tapped, but the folks who make a living by our generosity don't want us going elsewhere.
So now you know. . .you can't claim ignorance!
=)

Yes, even though we were raised in my dad's religion (Catholic) we also went to my moms church (Lutheran). We all follow a few Buddhist things--but not as a religious part of our lives.
