I personally have a sin that I know is wrong, and I tell myself over and over not to do it again, and I pray about it and I still find myself doing it. Willl You pray for me?

Done! I prayed for you! Keep praying yourself. I know God will help you. I believe in instant healing from God and progressive healing. Maybe he is working on you. There may be things he is expecting you to do to help yourself as well. Just pray and ask God to give you the tools to handle this. Try not to listen to the devil either. The more you fight this sin, the more he will put it in your face too. So expect that, and fight him. I would also rebuke him when he puts the temptation to do this sin in front of you. Keep trying! God forgives you for this sin. He wants you to keep your faith though and trust in God. Give this sin to God, he will do what it takes to make it stop for you. Remember that it may take time though. God has a plan.

I amazed that some of you would not pray for another person so that they can overcome sin. Are we anybetter than the appostle Paul who said "For this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;" (Col 1:9) Or, how about Samuel who said "Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:" (1Sa 12:23)

When Jesus said that we could move mountains, he was refering to mountains of sin. What a better way to help another person than to pray for them. God is in the business of working miracles, and the greatest miracle is the conversion of a wicked heart. Just like casting out deamons, it requires fasting and prayer.

The thing that helps me to overcome it to pray the 51st Psalm and stay and meditate on each verse as I go through it and stay on my knees until God gives me relief. Be like Jacob, don't let go until he blesses you.

If I and you both pray togather for the forgivness of your sin, maybe god will forgive you but if you commit it agian it cannot be forgiven, do some meditation and evoke your consciousness and think about the best possible way for not commiting the sin again, if you need some more on living spiritualy and consciously mail me i will send it to you.

No, prayer won't work for you, you need to get some thicker skin and just stop doing it.

Make it worthwhile to NOT commit this sin, then you'll stop.

There is a verse that says, "Greater is He (Jesus) that is in you than he (satan) that is in the world"
Another verse says "and you will recieve power when the holy spirit comes upon you."
Both of these verses state that because of Jesus' sacrifice, we have power above satan. Have faith, and command him to leave you, and you'll be fine. it works, i do it all the time.

follow the yellow brick road...ie use your brain and recognize your sin....take it to heart and resolve not to repeat it....have the courage to change and make restitution...then return to yourself and god as a new person
