``Only the Catholic Church existed in the tenth century, in the fifth century, and in the first century, faithfully teaching the doctrines given by Christ to the apostles, omitting nothing. The line of popes can be traced back, in unbroken succession, to Peter himself. This is unequaled by any institution in history.´´

You're on the right track my friend, however your mind has not yet been awakened. Why is this amazing? Do you believe that the Nazis did not live a "normal" life while they were engaged in their goal of world domination? How can you take over the world if you don't seem "normal"? You need people to follow you, don't you? There must be some "normality" in your vision to create a base following and to attract others. Religion is a "normal" part of human existance, there is no reason to believe that the Nazi party did not in some way include religion in their schemes.

Now that you've opened your eyes a little, you need to start educating yourself on what Hitler's image actually was. You have been brain washed for years to believe he was this vicious monster and have forgotten he was just a man. His aspirations were monsterous, but his day to day life was nothing different than any other leader of a civilized country.

If you watch videos of Germany in the Nazi times, the people look happy, confident in their leader and excited about the course of their country. They didn't think Hitler was a "monster" uncapable of going to church or living "normal"!

Is this different than any onther leader?

What you need to understand is, yes, he was a monster, however he didn't achieve his goals because he was stupid. The man was not a cartoon character who would show up at speeches with blood on his face while sacrificing Jews in public like history would want you to believe!

So, I ask again, why would your pictures be amazing?

Now, what you need to do is open up your eyes one more step. If Hitler seemed "normal" at the time, and his people followed him into unjust wars and killing of innocent people, who does that remind you of?

Hilter

1 burned down Germany's equivalent to the White House and blamed it on the Jews

2 rounded up Jews and Communists "responsible" for the arson

3 passed the Deutchland Act allowing him to go to war with any country and have full power over the gov't

4 created a "homeland security" which we know as the Gistapo

5 invading other countries to "protect" Germany

6 implemented ID cards to "protect" Germany

This is where I stop for now, because this is as far as we've gotten here in the US. We are now at ID cards being implemented by our gov't to "protect" us from immigration!

Bush is a monster and history will prove this, however for now he is a "normal" Christian who fits in with society.

I hope you now understand why your pictures are not amazing!

And here I thought they were just waving hello to me.....but seeing how one of your previous question tries to bash Catholics I know that it's probably a legit photo from back then that you've taken out of context to support your agenda of trying to knock down the church. Many men have tried but since Christ said nothing would prevail against his church I doubt you will have any luck either. Read the "Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth" at the following webpage to see why you will be unsucessful.

**In Response to your modified post, Actually it's not a contradiction at all. If we read what your wikipedia source says it actually supports what I claim. Look.......

The earliest antipope, Hippolytus, was elected in protest against Pope Callixtus I by a schismatic group in the city of Rome in the 3rd century. Hippolytus was exiled to the mines on the island of Sardinia in the company of Callixtus' successor Pope Pontian, was reconciled to the Catholic Church before his death, and has been canonized by the Church. The Catholic Encyclopedia also mentions a Natalius[1], before Hippolytus, as first antipope, who, according to Eusebius's EH5.28.8-12, quoting the Little Labyrinth of Hippolytus, after being "scourged all night by the holy angels", covered in ash, dressed in sackcloth, and "after some difficulty", tearfully submitted to Pope Zephyrinus.

The period when antipopes were most numerous was during the struggles between the Popes and the Holy Roman Emperors of the 11th and 12th centuries.

So both those early "antipopes" reconciled with the Church, Hippolytus submited to Pope Pontian and Eusebius "tearfully" submitted to Pope Zephyrinus. Your source then states the 11th and 12th centuries which mathmatically IS after the 10th century. It wasn't until the Schisms occured that there was a real break off from the Catholic Church. Anything prior to that was disagreements that took place WITHIN the Church. Disagreements still take place within her (Liberation Theology for one) but through it all she has stood beautifully firm and has withstood all asailments against her just like CHRIST proclaimed.

Since the word "catholic" is a Greek word meaning universal. Christ did not establish a religion. Christ teaching were given to Him by His Father, God. St. Peter was not the first pope. That is something the catholic church wants everyone to believe. Jesus said to Peter. "Thou art Peter, and upon you I will build my church." He didn't say, Thou art Peter the first pope. I was raised a catholic and attended catholic schools from kindergarten through high school. I never once read about Peter being a pope in the bible. Once again, a church is not a building, it is the people.
