Haley - Actually, about half of the DVC history is accurate, and much of the rest is valid theory (there is a bit of good ole fiction and sloppy research). Even so, there's actually more to validate the DVC than Revalations.
So how can you blindly claim one is true and the others lies? What evidence do you have of this?

The left behind series is based on the future, and is just trying to for cast a scenario of what may happen in the future, according to scripture. Now with that being said, it is purely speculation and not by any means right.
The Da Vinci Code on the other hand, was based on the past. Now what upset the Christians, is that it changed what was written in scripture. It made a scenario out of Jesus' life, and changed words and stories of scripture.
One is based on future, and one is based on the past.
One thing for sure is that they are both fiction. Because no one "really" knows how the world will end. They should be upset at both books.
They might accept Left Behind because it was written by a preacher, while Da Vinci was not.

The DaVinci Code is a fictional book that is based on lies against the church. It comes accross as the truth, but in reality it isn't.
Left Behind is a fictional story that runs off of the book of Revelations from the Bible, not "religious theories." At my church we have the whole series.
Check out my source- it shows non-bias information about the truths and sneaky lies in The DaVinci Code.

I'm not offended by the Left Behind series or the Da Vinci Code because they are FICTION books. Fiction! That means they're not true! They use the Bible to base their story off of, but that doesn't mean they are true. They are fake, they are just stories and predictions.

Professing Christians wrote the "Left Behind" novel (series of novels) as Christian fiction, while upholding the Bible as being true with a certain interpretation of the end times, whereas the "Da Vinci Code" novel is interpreting the Bible as being (at least partly) false.
Not all Christians agree on their interpretation of the end times, so there are some who do disagree with the "Left Behind" interpretation of the Bible, but yet not protest-worthy.

The "Left Behind Series" merely interlace sectarian interpretation of Bible scriptures into works of fiction. I have not read all the books but the one I did read conflicts with the teachings of Christ - allowing that Christians can kill in the name of Jesus (Jesus taught heavily against violence).
The characters fight, kill and are on a mission to kill the Antichrist - that in itself is leading away from the word of God, as Jesus will put away the Antichrist and his false prophet himself.
So in that respect, The Left Behind stories aren't very Christian.., even while these series of books are fiction, they teach against Bible doctrine.
I'm a Christian and find the Left Behind series as food for the foolish. The Antichrist is stereotyped through the nose. Imagine people's surprise when the AC comes from Islam on the Temple Mount at the Dome of the Rock.

How have Christians indignant atheists? have you ever heard approximately inquisitions, witch hunts, torture, burning on the stake, religious wars, shunning, and demonization? You declare that Christianity is approximately love. heritage demonstrates the different. How would you experience if the money had "In Odin we have confidence" revealed on it, and the pledge blanketed "One united states below Odin"? does not that merely look stupid? What if the motto have been replaced to "In Allah we have confidence"? does not that be offensive? Why could those data point out something approximately faith in any respect? do you could have your ideals strengthened each time you purchase something? Atheists many times are not given the comparable rights and opportunities as Christians. In some states, an atheist can't carry workplace or testify in court. we are extra possibly to be denied custody of little ones. Many municipalities enable Christian religious reflects on public assets, yet do no longer enable reflects by technique of atheist communities. we don't have "In reason we have confidence" on the money. Your argument approximately Christians being interior the final public is improper. In a constitutional democracy, the rights of anybody is secure by technique of the form and its amendments. you could no longer legally deny human beings's rights merely because of the fact they are contributors of a minority team. that incorporates the main suitable suited to freedom from faith besides as freedom of religion. because of the fact the american shape relatively prohibits rules installation faith, merchandising it on good data which comprise pledges of allegiance and criminal soft is unconstitutional.

Christians loved the "Left Behind" series.
I even read a couple books to get some laughs out of it (they were quite humorous to tell you the least).
Your point about the Da Vinci Code is great.

Christians aren't offended by the Left Behind series because it is based on some truth and the imagination of the author, the Catholics on the other hand don't like some truths exposed and some imagination written about their religion. I believe there is a difference between Catholics and Christians.

I have no idea. Maybe the idea in "Left Behind" are not so radical. Or maybe because it wasn't made into a movie. The daVinci Code was not an issue (as far as I know) until it was turned into a film.
I just want to say, I appreciated your added details. Many people are ignorant and one-sided on the issue of this fictional work. I'm glad you are not.
