I live in England and was on excercise in Denmark. In Copenhagen with my 2 mates we had had a `few beers` and just basically wandering around, we sat down on the edge of a fountain and asked a local to take our picture, I was in the middle. Earlier that year I had applied to join the Australian Air Force. A few weeks later I was at home visiting my father and showing him the pictures, he stopped me at that photo and said (something like!) "well i`ll be", he went to a suitcase, dug around a while and came up with a photo of him, at age 21, in Copenhagen with two of his mates, sitting between them, at that same fountain. even spookier, dad went to Australia that year and spent 4 years in the Australian Army. anyone got something to beat that one?

I mean, you hear about them turning in homework written in text message speak. ("i m, r u?") They're committing more car accidents and crimes than ever before. Are we hearing only about the MANY bad ones, or are they all pretty much no good these days?

How should every girl be treated
As if without her you're not completed
And when her world is rocked with emotion
She should feel our unswaying devotion
And when she wants more and more
Still we'll hold that open door
And when her world is coming apart
She will know she still has our heart

Any girl who likes this, I would love for you to add me to your yahoo buddy list or IM me or something.

I usually have a friendly smile, and I would say no less inviting than the average stranger... why is it that in a Western country, I experience most of the time the lady infront or behind me in the supermarket checkout gets greeted with a "hi how are you" and I don't? Do you think it's because I seem foreign to them or because too many Asian people have ignored their greetings?
(You can assume that I look like my avatar).

The direction I'm aiming at is more racial and social. I have a co-worker whose hair looks simply terrible from over-bleaching/dying. Her natural color is a brown tone. I tell her it's lovely as is, but she insists on dying it an awful "blond". As a black person, I often wonder why most white women (and those who are of Hispanic, East Indian, Arab descent) are hellbent on having blond hair. Does it have to do with "looking" the whitest of the white: blond hair/blue eyes, Aryan perfect?

What do you think?

The following are literacy rates in Middle Eastern nations for women. The numbers represent the ratio of literate women to men. (100% means men and women have equal literacy rates):

UAE...100%
Israel.....90-99%

Jordan...80-89%
Syria...80-89%
Saudi Arabia...80-89%
Oman...80-89%
Iran...80-89%

Morocco...60-69%
Egypt...60-69%
Algeria...60-69%
Tunisia...60-69%
Libya...60-69%

Iraq...30-59%
Yemen...30-59%

The midrange for Muslim countries seems to be that about 7 women are literate for every 10 men.

Do you think there is discrimmination in these countries against women?

We are talking about how National Service should be brought back for British youths after leaving school, for say 2 years.

One friend is stating that everyone leaving school should have to do it (with exceptions such as severe disabilties, of course).

Another is saying that those who do not want to go straight in to work or University should be made to sign up.

My question is, would this work? I would like to see it happen, but then would that not just be an excuse to start another war, to give these recruits something to do? Could they not be put to good use on the 'home front'?

Sensible answer welcome. Thanks!

when on the job people can make you angry whether it be your boss,co workers or customers.if you drive people on the highway can irritate you in a thing called road rage.sometimes the world can anger you like the government, currupted school systems, currupted court systems, currupted cops.lots of crimes being committed, conflicts with family, spouse or in laws, problems with bill collectors and etc.when someone makes us angry of course we want to kick their butts, however we know we get in trouble.maybe want to cuss them out, give them the finger or both.exercise helps, but you cant exercise 24 hrs.if youre a believer of god youre mad at him for allowing people to make you angry.or you may want to drink alcohol or smoke weed to take your mind off it meaning anger.yes theres anger management, but that is not available 24-7.those who say move on or get past it thats b.s.,easier said than done.these are the issues of the world and are not excuses.i have anger issues im not afraid to admit.do you?

Please be as honest as possible. When I say "quietly" I mean that you wouldn't be martyred or given any credit at all for this; i.e., no paradise, no posthumous medals of honor. Also, would you give your life today if it could somehow save the approximately 18,000 children that will die today due to hunger? If you wouldn't mind specifying your political/possible religious persuasion I would appreciate it. Again please be honest and respectful of the seriousness of this question. There are no bad answers that are answered sincerely. Thanks so much.

They are destined to practice ethics in their profession. But do they? Don't you think that their professional standards are deteriorating by measured human values day by day? Target them to reveal the values they should adopt in serving humanity.
