Women are EXPECTED to earn a living these days. They have to work. Why should they take on another full time position? Men don't. Running a household especially with children is a 24 hour job, with no pay.
Why don't you make sure you can earn enough money so your wife won't have to work outside the home. And you can pay for her to take some cooking classes.

What Rita Tarder said!

I was a stay at home mom and wife and I did all the cooking and cleaning while my husband earned a living. Then I was divorced. To find the time to work and then to come home exhausted to having to cook and clean was nearly impossible! Not to mention I had to take over the role of the man, too! IE: Mowing the grass, washing the car, trying to do household repairs, etc......something had to give!

Women are not only expected to earn a living, but also to be chef, maid, mother, nurse, mechanic, carpenter, etc. COME ON GUYS! Most of you do your full time job and when you come home you won't even help out around the house! Sheesh!

I am a 54 y/o male and I learned to cook in high school home economics class,my 23 y/o daughter took home economics but
but they tallked about family planning and insurance and budgets. They never went to a stove or learned to sew.The school board removed these things from the school as a "sexist" icon.
I am teaching her now and told her boyfriend to get a good job they will eat out alot.
More of the young females are intrested in a professional career so cooking is replaced by take out or eat out.

it seems to me that cutting-edge technologies has finished no longer something for our healths. maximum young human beings do no longer think of or care approximately what they put in their bodies, they do no longer cook dinner or bake for they have such 'social' lives - they could desire to be seen doing this or that. on the same time as the ego is at play right here their wellbeing's proceed to say no - and that they do no longer care. it is not in simple terms with the extra youthful set, i hit upon the older human beings's heading for the junk and or processed ingredients quite than cook dinner a healthy meat and 3 vege meal. and then they ask your self why their wellbeing is crap and that they then get on right here and ask for help with their wellbeing - each and every each and every now and then you definately in simple terms won't be able to win. Gosh i think of i admire you....i visit bake you an previous formed roast or perhaps make selfmade gravy.

I can cook. I don't think anyone has a "natural instinct" to make spaghetti and meatballs. People have priorities. If yours is to be waited on hand and foot, then you should make that known when you are dating. Mine is to make a life with my husband. I cook most nights. Sometimes we have take out. Sometimes he even cooks. Some of the best chefs in the world are men.

Um, not sure what you base this question on, but I can cook!!! My mother died when I was young and I had no one to teach me, it's something you learn as you grow up or you learn from your mum if you are fortunate enough. Most mothers are out working these days so maybe they don't have time for cooking lessons. I bought myself cookbooks and taught myself and I'm sure many others have done the same.

When they get married maybe their husbands can also share the cooking, we are not living in the 1950's!!!!

The husband should learn to cook for himself! Seriously though, it seems few people know how to cook anything more than a microwave dinner and it's a shame. There's more to a meal than removing the packaging. They are handy for busy people though, and life does seem to be all go go go at the moment.

I don't think you can really generalize and say that all young ladies can't cook anymore. It all depends on which culture the young lady comes from.
I'm a young lady and have been cooking from my early teens and developped my skills ever since then.

Girls are future mothers and housewives.Today you say this to a girl its equivalent to slapping her face. Mothers ( in the sense of not just giving birth) ,are a rarity in society today. They have changed their roles and qualificated themselves as the main competitor to men. They have no time.
Then how can you expect "mothers" first to raise children to become men that know how to cook because their girlfriend dosent know how.
