I know someone that does that. They can blatantly see that i'm not interested in their conversation and they put you on the spot by asking, "and what do you think about it" What shall i do?

Just say, "Oh, I'm not paying attention. I'm busy right now". Or "That's not really a topic I'm interested in".

Tell them you need to think about it a bit more and that you'll get back to them later. In the mean time tell them you gotta go. Hopefully the person you are talking about isn't someone at work or some place that you can't leave. If it's at work then I'd pick up the phone and call someone.
There was this lady at my work (we sat across from each other) and she would go on and on just to hear herself talk. At first I was polite and then I realized she didn't really care what I thought because if/ when I did reply she pretty well ignored what I added to the "conversation". So....I literally just picked up my phone and dialed my home and listened to my answering machine. Some days I'd get home and find 6-7 messages from myself...LOL

Seeing when a person is a bore, is terrible you could pretend you were having a heart attack or take your letter opener and stab yourself in the heart, but how about this one.
just faint and start jerking around on the floor and if anyone asks what happened jump and and say this man has just caused me to have a stroke call the boring police and have him arrested, for failure to make sense in an adult conversation. or just walk away singing" happy birthday to me"

just try an change the subject to something different or say you fell asleep an never heard what they were talking about or just say soz i need the toilet an by the time you get back they will be talking about something else always works for me..
