Hi all. I am a translation student. My teacher had asked me to search for The relation between reading comprehension and Translation. Does any of you happen to know any source for this research? I'd appreciate it.

I was curious as to whether there are many differences between Mexican and Puerto Rican dialects of Spanish. If so, what are some of the major ones. Are there any words or phrases that one country may use that the other wouldn't understand?

Hello.
I received this reply from an American police force:
“The incident has been investigated and the involved parties have been contacted”
My natural language is not English, so I need help to fully understand this reply.
In English, is there any chance that “has been” and “have been” can be referring to something that happened a year ago? Or is it a recent past? If it’s a recent past, I know that there is not established time limit…but in your personal sense what is the most distant past that “has been” can be referring to?
Thank you.

I've grown a fancy to Japanese, and wanted to become an interpreter of English for natives in Japan, or perhaps vice-versa. However, I believe there aren't that many Japanese in America, and English is widely-known already in Japan. Spanish is my second choice. Are Spanish interpreters needed in America? Are English interpreters needed in Japan? And finally, if both of these are no, what language is in high demand (and will continue to be for years ahead) in the US?

I was thinking of Naukan. It's some Eskimo language. Apparently only 70 people in the world speak it. I believe it is the least spoken language that isn't extinct. I would like to learn it but I have no idea where to begin. If you can't help me there, what is an obscure language that is very scarcely spoken and where can I learn it?

Could someone please translate the following phrase into Latin for me?

I would like to say:

I recognize that your apathy is without bond. No problem. I suffer fools, gladly.

Thanks!
