(this is a convertation between two persons)
: ¿Como es el West Indian Cafe? ¿Preparan comidas ricas?
: Si, preparan comidas riquisimas. Su especialidad son platos tipicos del Caribe.
: Pues, comen mucho pescado, camarones , frutas tropicales, batidos de frutas, platanos fritos...
: ¡ Platanos fritos!

I'm trying to translate the quote 'Freedom isn't free' into latin for a friend who's really interested in getting it as a tattoo. Problem is that I don't know any latin at all and I'm not to sure i can trust the online translators. I've given them a shot and the closest thing I've gotten it 'Libertas est haud libera' but I can't be sure this is correct. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out on this.

Thanks.

okay, i heard ''hoshi'' means ''star'' in japanese. first off, is this true?

second. if japanese uses a different alphabet, how can you write a japanese word with the english alphabet, or is that just how it's pronounced?.

and third. if you can write in japanese with the english alphabet, i'd like you to write some japanes words with the english alphabet. these being
flower
cat
sea
ship
pirate
river
swan
hope
joy
luck
horse
dragon fly

and if you could, please write some other words in japanese (include the english translation, and in the english alphaber). any words, really, i'm not to picky.

thanks in advance,
mutt

Everyday I read repliers to language questions end stating that "it" is their mother language. Why do people assume that if one’s mother language is X the translation or text is correct? I am a writer and translator who speaks correctly seven languages besides, classical Greek, Latin & can transliterate several archaic languages yet I never write it’s my mother language. However, since several times askers chose incorrect answers before my correct one just because of the mother language statement, I wonder why so many in Answers automatically assume that because someone says it is their mother language the translation or text are correct. In Answers & Internet, I could write, if I wanted, that I am from Mars and it would not make my statements about this planet more reliable. Natives make grammar & spelling errors too. Should you choose answers on "mother language" basis without a fast background check? Wouldn´t checks at least prevent wrong choices and even worse results?

I can't look at you without thinking about how much I love you. When I look in your eyes, I see my world. I am in a lot of pain without you, but I'm in more pain to see you not happy. I would do anything for you, and all I want is for you to be okay. No matter what happens, I am always going to love you and wish you the best in your life. You are an amazing and special person and I have always thought that.
