Me gusta tu, pero soy timido/a
Note that 'gusta' in this sense has a connotation of sexual attraction. Also note that timido would mean you are shy and male while timida indicates you are shy and female.
I -believe- that 'le cao bien, pero soy timido/a' is the correct way to say 'I like you' without the connotation of sexual attraction, but my conjugation of the verb 'caer' may be wrong.

Coherent options for I like you...
Me caes bien (non-romantic)
Me gustas, me encantas, me mueves el tapete
For I'm just shy...
Es que soy timido
Nada mas soy un poco timido
For a complete phrase, assuming romantic intentions, you'll kill 'em with:
De verdad me gustas mucho, nada mas soy un poco timido y me dio pena decirtelo
"I really like you a lot, it's just that I'm a little shy and I was shy about telling you."
Now, reel 'em in!
