If you have spent most of your life in a foreign country and as a result have become fluent in that language and only ever use that language day to day.....do you still think in your native language?!?!

I'm refering to the childhood novelty toy, the paddle with the little rubber ball attached, not paddle tennis. I wanted to know how a native or fluent speaker would say it. Would it be remo de bola or remo de pelota? I already looked at packages of them at the store and they do not have the Spanish translation on the packaging. Gracias!

It turned out that one of my male friends has got feelings for me. Yesterday he was taking me home, and he tried to kiss me. I refused because I consider him to be just a friend... He got really angry, and shouted: "You are lucky that I didn't go all the way with you when we were alone at my house!" Jeez, what does that mean?

How do you say?

What did I do to make you mad?

"lo que hice que te hizo enojar?"

Is that right??

How do you say "It's okay you were tired but you don't have to be rude to me."

"Está bien estabas cansado............"

For the last couple of years now we've been hearing more and more about Spanglish and how it's ruining the the Spanish language. Words like trucke, parquear, and mopear are all words clearly taken from the English language and switching back and forth from one language to another is also likely to happen. While we mostly hear about Spanglish I've heard that this also ocurring in Hindi, Tagalog, Korean, Japanese, and many others. Do you think that this type of mixing messes up the language? Also, do you think that the strong use of English will cause smaller languages like Tagalog to eventually fade out?
