Learning Chinese now is definitely a big plus for any future business endeavours. It is quite a task though...
Learning Japanese is slightly easier, at least speaking it isn't half as complicated as Chinese - but then again Japan is one of the most important countries for the economy anyway, so they are more or less used to doing business in English. You would probably get along fine with English, at least in the bigger cities, but you'd better learn a lot about their culture, It is pretty easy to put yer foot in it. ;o) Having said that, Japanese is a very beautiful language and also a challenge to learn. So if you enjoy this kind of challenge, go for it!
As far as European languages are concerned, I'd opt for Spanish - it is so much easier to learn than French, sounds nicer and is also spoken (with slight variations) in parts of the US and Central/South America. You could reach a much bigger audience.
So, my votes go to Chinese and Spanish regarding future job opportunities, and Japanese as the cherry on your lingual cake.

French is largely irrelevent although it is the language of diplomacy for some obscure reason. Spanish is a very important language and relatively easy to learn. The major forthcoming economies are Brazil (Portugeuse, but Spanish is widely understood) Russia, India and China. With the last three, you have to master a different character set as well. Japan was the proto tiger economy but has probably peaked now.

I think japanese or chinese would be such a great choice. French is also good because it's spoken by a lot of people and is usually one of the languages that most bilingual or multilingual people speak

Depends on what you want to do if you are like me and want to travel to Asia, Africa and Central America then Chinese, Swahili and Spanish. But if you want to go to Europe then defiantly French and German, but most people there speak English.

If I was your shoes I'd go ahead and take French and Chinese. Yes you are correct in about 5 or 10 years the Chinese will be more powerful than the U.S.A. in economics.

Spanish. People use it everywhere. It's a very common lanuage and very useful. Colleges look at it very highly because of how commonly it's used and later on many jobs need people that speak Spanish.

You should take Latin because the romance languages(Spanish, French, Italian etc.)come from it and you could learn the romance languages better.

If you live in the US, Spanish will serve you more usefully than any other language. It's also fairly easy to learn for someone whose native language is English.
