Esperanto!

My kids and I are learning it, and in the short time that we've been at it we've made friends from all parts of the world. With only 16 grammatical rules and no exceptions the kids are experiencing success which will carry over into other endeavours. Especially if they decide to learn other languages. (Actually they are learning french in school, since we are in Canada). So they appear to be in the top part of their respective classes because Esperanto helps you understand different language functions as a natural part of learning the language.

Ĝis!

Hebrew, because; It is a very interesting language, very different. Hebrew words are read left-to-right,the opposite of how we read english words.
God chose the Hebrew language for the old testament,"the manuscripts".
It was the language of the Hebrews.

Russian???? Why the %$#@ would anyone want to speak that? Who would ever go to that @@@@hole. Chinese is cool. Japanese, for those that don't know, is just a mixture of Chinese and English with bad pronunciation of both: a terrible language. Chinese is cool, great system of classification of the characters, and once you know the 'radicals' that form all of the characters, learning it becomes easier and easier.
Jia you!!

You could start with English.

Question, how dumb do you feel not even being able to spell "language" properly when you're asking about learning another "languege"?

Hint, we have spell check, the little ABC box in the corner. It's ok to use it..

My favorite language is Esperanto. I love the dream behind it, to promote world peace through everyone speaking the same neutral second language. I also love the fact that learning Esperanto has allowed me to speak to people from all over the world, from many different cultures, without falling prey to the world's opinion of US citizens at large, that we expect everyone to learn English.
