Language wise. My uncle is a native Dutch and I speak German (not native). When we have conversations, he speaks Dutch and I speak German, we both basicly understand each other, but when he writes me in Dutch I don't understand at all?

For Valentine's Day, my Spanish teacher thought it would be absolutely great if we read a sappy poem in front of the entire school. We each have to write a line, and here's my line:
"Love is to remember your friends and to cherish them, no matter how far apart you may be."
The thing is, I don't know how to translate this. Is this gramatically correct?
"Amor es a remembrar sus amigos y apreciarlos, aunque usted puede lejos aparte."
I'm not sure about the last part of the sentence. Can someone help me please?

Hi im going to college next year and as ive been working as a teachers assistant in my synagogue ive become interested in trying to learn hebrew. I can read and write the alphabet but i no longer know the meaning of any words and i never got far enough to learn to form sentences etc. The thing im most worried about is the no vowels part, but learning the language as a whole seems pretty intimidating too. any advice?
