This is really hard to explain, but what do you call it when you use words from another language in English? Words like "Communique" or "Collectif," where someone would say: "There seems to be some sort of 'Communique' written on his shirt." There must be a specific term which categorizes these types of words. I'm pretty sure it's some poetic term, as you encounter a lot of foreign words in poetry.

Here in the Philippines, if you can't speak fluently, some will treat you as if you are unintelligent and inferior. This causes a lot of inferiority complex among Filipinos. Some are afraid to speak in English, some just resolves it by speaking Taglish (Tagalog English).

hello everybody who could tell me about the RP accent?? i have seen that in England it is used to classify people as accents... for an example at the end of an acting course... but what is exactly the RP accent?? why is it so important in England?? in my country (Italy) we don't do this.. if we want to work as a journalist or something like this we have diction lessons but there's no an accent classification... thanks early for the answers

I was walking to the subway on my way to work and this typical dude was handing out some fliers, and since i had to wait for my train i took one to read. however it was in another language i think it was spanish, the main headline said "Judios hicieron WTC". wut the hell does this mean it sounds like david dean propaganda to me?

Hi

I've heard a word that sounds like "lulacriss" on TV.
But it's not in the dictionnary, I think this is a wrong spelling, or maybe I didn't hear it well.

According to the context, the word should probably mean "something not true" or "this is bullshit".... but that's just a guess.

Has anyone an idea what word it is?

Why do Americans write the date as 09/11 instead of 11/09 for 11 September like we do in UK.
Surely if we say 11th Sept, shouldn't it be written in the same order?
