Can anyone tell me the German words for products sold at optician's? Please include the article (der, das, die).

Words like die Brille, die Sonnenbrille, die Kontaktlinsen. I need twenty. All valid, all related to der Optiker. Links to German sites that tell some of these would be awesome too.

I never visited usa but from the movies and even educational programs like Dr phil or reality tv shows I concluded this. Is it true. and to any extent. I mean can sombody live in Usa without using them or hearing them. i mean words like f.u. son of -----, pasta---, kick my ------, fu--ing mother and more. does these words still have an insulting and impolite nature or they are became somthing else because of widespread usage. I saw also that it is not good to say them in front of women and children. Is there any rejection or refusal to use them in public.

I can't speak nor understand Spanish nor French, but I often times wish I could. Currently there's this woman I'd really like to talk with and can't 'cause of our language differences.

Okay, I am in 7th grade, and me and my BFF LOVE THE BAND T.A.T.U.! They sing in Russian, so we are trying to learn in Russian. Sometimes in school we talk to each other in Russian. It's fun! Some girls say to us, "Why are you sooo obsessed with Russian?"
Others say:
"What's with Russian?"

Okay, so we may like to learn and speak the language. It's better than being obsessed with a boy, TV show, celebrity, etc. Learning another language can really help us in our life with work, and since next year we will be applying to High Schools. High Schools, Colleges and jobs look if their people can speak other languages. Why are they so mean to us about this?
