can anyone please tell me how to say 'penguin' in japanese?

There are two ways:

1. ペンギン (pengin). This is pronounce pen ghin.
2. 人鳥 (jinchou). This is another name I've seen. It literally means "person bird." I don't see this used much though.

We write it as "pengin" in Japanese.

The pronunciation of "pen" is the same as that of English.

"gi" in penGIn is pronounced as gi as in gift.

As to the last "n" sound, your tongue never touch your hard plate.
