This is more of a request than a question really....
If anyone out there speaks a foreign language, or has English as their second language, could you pleeeeease please help!
I am trying to translate a very short story into a number of different languages - French, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, ANYTHING! I have tried translating it myself on your normal translation websites, but they don't include the phonetics of how to speak the translation. (i.e. just Chinese characters, no way I can read those out!)
I can e-mail anyone who is willing to help me the short story so that you can translate it. OR, if you could translate it, read it out and record it, then e-mail me the recording of you speaking it, that would be GREAT!
It's for an sonic arts project I am working on at the moment, so anyone who would be willing to record themselves would be really really helpful! The more voices the better
Thanks

This is not my invention, it's seriously considered by some politicians. The advantages are:

-There would be no catfight between the nations because Latin is nobody's national language (except for the Vatican).
-It belongs to our cultural heritage, and many our words come from Latin.
-The Vatican would be pleased, and t would also reflect that the vast majority of people here are Christian.
-It would make communication easier if everyone spoke the same second language in Europe. (Although English can already be considered as such, I guess.)

NOTE: Latin is not a dead language. In the Vatican it is the official language, and new words are added regularly, such as washing machine (fullonica electrica).

What do you say?

i'm intrigued..... Why do a lot of black people pronounce the word ASK as ARKS? I notice this more and more, they've even started doing it on Eastenders now! Is there a particular reason?

Just Curious..
Why do people complain about why others dont use spell check, but they dont even punctuate properly?? no capitalization, no commas ,etc..I just dont get it.. ok so wonderful ,you have spell check to make you look smarter, but you dont have anything for punctuation now do you??I mean If I was at work, I'd understand, but this is only Yahoo Q&A right??? and no I am NOT saying that I am punctuating properly or even spelling right.. I am just making a point

2006-10-11 20:58:05 · 9 answers · asked by Swtnis 5

when it is so easy? If you are not spelling it right, and didn't know it, spell check will tell you. You could learn something new every time. Then other people don't have to try and figure out what you are asking, or try and deciper your answer.

As for the second alternative is that, while we agree in general with your proposal, we would like to propose that the production cut is not to be applied to the region considering the current psychological and political situation in that region. Since it only makes up 3 % of the total, this may not have a significant change in the company impact target AIMED AT the market.
