This is more of a request than a question really....
If anyone out there speaks a foreign language, or has English as their second language, could you pleeeeease please help!
I am trying to translate a very short story into a number of different languages - French, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, ANYTHING! I have tried translating it myself on your normal translation websites, but they don't include the phonetics of how to speak the translation. (i.e. just Chinese characters, no way I can read those out!)
I can e-mail anyone who is willing to help me the short story so that you can translate it. OR, if you could translate it, read it out and record it, then e-mail me the recording of you speaking it, that would be GREAT!
It's for an sonic arts project I am working on at the moment, so anyone who would be willing to record themselves would be really really helpful! The more voices the better

The story is about half a sheet of A4 long. Very easy to read.

Also, my computer doesn't have a translation option, nor will 'text to speech' in a different language.

Blue_cabbage - I have tried to send you the story, but it keeps saying it is not a valid e-mail...mailer daemon thing. I have also tried .com just incase but it doesn't work either!

Please please do not use free translation websites anyway - they will invariably do a bad job - don't believe me? - well send your short story to one site translate it into French for example, then go to another and translate the French back to English - see what you get!!
You are better off asking people who are from those nationalities to translate things for you especially if you want to know how it sounds - Are there no other nationalities in your town at the local University for example ?
I could do French, German and possibly Italian (depends on the technical terms) but I don;t really want to post my e-mail on here sorry :(

sure, I would be happy to help. Send me the story and I will see if I can help. I can translate the story into Farsi/ Persian and Turkish. I just have to read the story to see if it is easy to be translated or not *smiles*

Correct me if I am wrong but, a few years ago all computers had different languages, surely if you type it out in English & click the relevent foreign language button, it will come out in that ?Not a computer lover myself?
