It seems to me that people who don't have "book smarts" are more intelligent than a similar person if they speak more than one language. The "already-intelligent" seem even more so if they're bilingual or more. Just my opinion. (I speak English, but learning Spanish quickly) What are your thoughts?

There is no need to use text message types of abbreviations when asking or answering questions here. I know that it is easy to transpose letters when you are typing quickly, but there is the built in spell-checker. As a lover of the English language and with no problems about the natural evolution of language, it makes me flinch when I see the atrocious writing on many of these pages. Maybe I'm old-fashioned as well as simply being old but do many other people feel the same way? I can't be alone.

I guess you would say it is the "Californian accent". They say "like" and "oh my god" a lot and over-intonate and are loud. I am here at my university and can't even enjoy peace and quiet because of them.

Does anyone else agree that they are annoying? If you do it, can you please stop?
