When I was in Lebanon, I enjoyed EID so much. My family and me always gathered with my relatives in my grandparents' home on the first day of EID and we ate breakfast, lauch and dinner together. We spend all the time together. We pray Jamaa and we Watch TV shows and we laugh and enjoy our time. The children get money from relatives and they go to fun land and buy toys. I liked that when I was a child. Now I live in Canada. I don't feel Eid at all. I always have exams on Eid days or in the same week and I can't skip classes because attendence in mandatory in most Engineering classes.
I am so sad.

What do you do and how do you enjoy your time?

muslims are supposed to be helpful and kind towards their brothers and sisters. no wonder we're not getting anywhere!! you know i am just wasting my time/points, everyday one of these questions pop up they get stars etc, but nothing is done...if you are going to email people dont insult, its rude and disgusting. thats why i dont allow email. if you do something wrong appologize and repent!?!? i've done it...its really not that hard.....its a shame...some christians and jews are nicer than some of you muslims.

tell the truth:
1) have you ever been sent hateful/rude email?
2)have you ever sent on to your sis/brother in Islam or anyone on this sit a rude email?
3)why do people do these things? to intentionally hurt them? do you actually think you are helping them by insulting them?
4) if you have sent an email that might, in the slightest bit have hurt someone, do you regret it?

=(
salaam

Does one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it.

Holy Quran

He who slanders has sinned in every instance. Slander is when you mention something about a person which is not a fault in's eye Gods, or when you censure what the people of knowledge praise.

As for discussing someone who is not present with regard to something which Allah censures, when that person is guilty of it, then this does not amount to slander, even if he dislikes it when he hears it; and you are free of any slight of that person. This is in order to make the truth clear from the false by the clarification of Allah and His Messenger. However, this has a precondition, in that the person who says it must seek only to clarify what is true and false, in the faith of Allah. If he means to deprecate the person of whom he talks without meaning to make things clear, then he is taken to task for his corrupt goal, even if he is correct in what he says.

If you really slander someone, then seek pardon from that person. If you do not go that far nor reach that point, then ask Allah's forgiveness for that. Slander eats up good deeds as fire eats up wood. As Allah revealed to Moses, 'The slanderer will be the last to enter the Garden, if he repents. If he does not repent, then he will be the first to enter the Fire.

The various aspects of slander occur when you mention a fault in someone's character, intellect, action, behaviour, belief, ignorance and so on.

The origin of slander may be one of ten types: venting one's anger, pleasing other people, suspicion, believing a report without investigating it, having a bad opinion, envy, mockery, astonishment at some action in another which one does not comprehend, dissatisfaction or impatience with others, and embellishment of oneself at the expense of others.

If you seek Islam, then remember the Creator and not the created; then the circumstances of slander will be a lesson for you, and a wrong action will be replaced by a reward.

Well, Muslims agree (I suppose) that it's okay for a Muslim man to marry a non-Muslim woman. So is it haram for his wife to bring a chirstmas tree to their house? Is it haram for his wife to buy gifts for their children and her family? Is it haram for him to join his wife and her family as they celebrate?

Is it halal to draw a segregation line between him and his wife and her family?

one and want to know more about his religion. Why as Muslims do you fight so much amongst yourselves. I often frequent the Religion and Spirituality section and obviously many people there fight with people of differing religions. Most of the Muslims who visit that section show the love and peace of their religion, even to others that are not Muslim. How in the world do you expect to influence non-Muslims that your religion is the true one and one of love and peace if you fight amongst yourselves. In just one day I'm fed up and ready to give up even trying to make new Muslim friends here.
Those of you doing this should be ashamed of yourselves. It seems to me you need to emerge yourselves more in the quran than spending time here being so mean. If this is what Islam is then I'll stay Christian.

Asalam Alaikum dear brothers and sisters in Islam
Our ummah is in a sad shape. We are being killed and humiliated on a daily basis. This will continue until we get our acts together. We need to start practicing Islam correctly from the Quran and Sunnah and we need to unite.

Every innocent Muslim who dies and we stand by and do nothing we will carry sin for that. Now I know that some of us don't have the power to do anything. But if we unite we do.

What can we do to take Islam back? There is to much blood being spilled subhanAllah. This makes me so sad.

I speak to myself before anyone else.

I love you all for the sake of Allah.

May Allah help our Ummah and unite us. Ameen

Then God said, "I swear by My honor and glory that I have not created any creature more beloved to Me than you. I will not perfect you in anyone except those whom I love. I, however, will command only you to do things and prohibit only you from doing certain things. I will grand blessings (rewards) to you only and will subject only you to punishments."
