I think that the only way to grow is to be honest with ourselves about how we live in the world. This means that you need to embrace your strengths and work on your weaknesses. Without looking inward to your faults and your gifts you will stay in one place. How much fun is that.

Inshaa'allah, I do, everyday.
"Self-evaluation" - "Al-Muhasabah" is something we must do all the time, to check ourselves from going over the boundaries set by Allah swt. By doing al-muhasabah, it is possible to know whether we have faults, so long as we can be honest to ourselves. To help with this, keep in mind that Allah knows all that transpire in our mind, in the deepest recess of our hearts. Nothing Up in the sky or down in the earth or in between is hidden from Him, the All-Seeing, Al-Knowing, All- Hearing.
Wallahu'alam.

I trust others will see the obvious and I change. Like when someone says I have a bugar. I find Islam has a lot of bugars.

Asalam Alaikum
Yes I do and I need to work harder at correcting them. The more important thing to acknowledge is Allah sees our faults. We need to do our best to correct them to please Allah. Allah love those who come to Him in repentance

Yes, and it makes me feel bad. But that's a good thing, because if I didn't feel terrible about my mistakes, I would have no motivation to change, would I?
