one and want to know more about his religion. Why as Muslims do you fight so much amongst yourselves. I often frequent the Religion and Spirituality section and obviously many people there fight with people of differing religions. Most of the Muslims who visit that section show the love and peace of their religion, even to others that are not Muslim. How in the world do you expect to influence non-Muslims that your religion is the true one and one of love and peace if you fight amongst yourselves. In just one day I'm fed up and ready to give up even trying to make new Muslim friends here.
Those of you doing this should be ashamed of yourselves. It seems to me you need to emerge yourselves more in the quran than spending time here being so mean. If this is what Islam is then I'll stay Christian.

I continue to read the quran to know as much about Islam as possible. No I am not ready to convert yet because I don't know enough to make an informed decision and I still believe my religion to be the one for me at this time. I do however know enough to know that one of the main things a Muslim should do is to speak to others about Islam and if this is the way you do it then you are not going to win any converts and you are certainly not an example for one considering conversion.

This is probably one of the best questions ever posted.
I have posted a few questions here & have mostly been confronted with unwitty comments about me being a Shia or me not being a Muslim at all. I have even recieved emails on that. I have nothing against anyone & I am open to opposing opinions or other religions. I want peace & not war.
I don't care what others think of me. I am Persian & a Shia Muslim. Actually I have many Christians, Muslims (both Sunni & Shia), Atheists friends. I love people regardless of their beliefs.
I think a lot of people in Ramadan section should really refrain from judging others!!! I have actually been attacked more from the Muslim side than others which amazes me!
Loved your question! The best ever.
Good Luck!

Actually Muslim do not Fight here you will Any question Asked by A Non- Muslim is for the Purpose of Disgracing Islam and if a Muslim Asks a Question he will get Insulting Answers by the Non -Muslims So I have Asked Many Question and same was with me but one of The Muslim answerer told me that don't Ask here Because here Islam is Accused and Disgraced which We cannot tolerate.
They just want to Make angry the Muslims so We mostly do in reaction otherwise there is no such reality that Muslims Always Fight.
and you can see here most of the Answers given by Non-Muslims will be in an Insulting way so Muslims react on it every one has the right to Defend

I agree with you completely, well said! We should be ashamed of ourselves and not fall out over our small differences but should unite in the name of Islam. Is it any wonder many non Muslims feel it justified to criticise the behavious of Muslims when we don't see eye to eye. It just gives them ammunition,
I agree with ♫~~∞§arah T∞©~~♫, if you want to learn about Islam, this really isn't the best place to do it. Either visit a scholar or pick up the Quran in English translation - you cannot connect more with the essence of Islam than the Holy Q'uran. I wish you all the luck.
EDIT - It seems to be a recurring theme in the answers that people are pretending to be Muslims so that could also be the case for this.
P.S. excellent question by the way

The internet is often a hostile place. There are differences of opinion and often people come across strong, rude or whatever. Sometimes people come across these ways and never meant to sound that way, sometimes they do mean to sound that way. Muslims argue just like any other people. People will convert to Islam because of the truth of Islam. If they let a few arguments move them from the path they weren't seriously looking into Islam then.
From your statement....
"If this is what Islam is then I'll stay Christian"
shows that you haven't studied Islam at all, if you did you'd know what Islam is. YA is certainly not the place to get educated in Islam.
Try getting some reading material from a local masjid or ask your husband to get you some.

Islam is absolutely not a religion of peace and the fundamentalists who fight and kill are only doing what their so called religion tells them to do. Read the Quran, the hadiths and the biography of Mohamed with an honest and open mind and you will learn just what an evil perversion the totalitarian ideology of Islam actually is.

Don't let anyone discourage you, get to know the real Islam before you know the (some negative) Muslims. Religion makes the people…people don’t make the religion. I hope this video will come of some help; and I hope you will stay on YA. Islam=Peace.

Thnk you for your Q, all i;m saying is (and answer honestly with your heart) do you base your life on everything you see on yahoo answers? I thought so. Try and meet new people hun outside yahoo and you could get a different perspective of Islam from first hand research. And like always you do get a bunch of idiots rioting our beloved religion and giving us negative media but at the end of the day its you who makes your opinion and no one else can change that gut feeling if you know what i mean.
Inshallah I have been somewhat help to you if not please forgive me.
I however wouldnt mind being your friend and anything that you found offensive I didnt mean it to, I just wanted to get to the point quicker without going into too much...detail...lolz

People just come to express their opinion on a public forum. You, like many Muslims who quickly cry Islamophobia when they're criticised (in fact, more quickly than condemning Islamic terrorism), may take their opinions as insults. That is a problem you have to solve on your own. "who said about Islamophobia" You did when you suggested non-Muslims come here only to insult Muslims. There's no extent for freedom of speech. Other people may find your speech deceitful as well.

I am so sorry about your disappointment. People are people no matter what faith they are. You have to study the religion, then judge the Muslim according to Islam and not Islam according to the Muslims.
Religion does not change an individuals personality. If we convert to Islam it changes our path. It is better to be inside the fold of Islam than out, no matter how devout or disobedient, but it is important to strive to perfect your religion. Most Muslims will only submit to the personality. If we submit to Islam the potential for spiritual growth is boundless. Allah is the only judge. Islam is complete, we as human beings need Islam and the guidance of Allah. The good and the bad are everyone, it is in us to be good, we see it, but we do not always acknowledge it, and then act on it. The personality takes over and we submit to it and that is our downfall, but Allah gives us his mercy-- Islam. And when we feel remorseful and repent and turn to him for his guidance(Quran) and his mercy, we have another chance to make it right. Allah knows his creation. And Islam is the true path of guidance. I hope you reconsider and not allow the negativity guide you away from it.

Bad and Good people are every where. You will find many bad muslims in your life. you can't judge upon your faith or you cannot decide as to what religion you should choose by staying at Yahoo answers. You gotta read alot of stuff and visit Imam at the mosque for further guidance.
The people who participate here are not Imams or Scholars, then themselves are muslims and among them are good muslims as well as bad muslims.
Its a question of your life, and the life of hereafter. Its a question of your Faith and its a question of your upcoming generations and their futures too. You cannot decide anything by being at yahoo answers only.
Dear, evil is everywhere, it depends on us that how strong we need to be and how well we have to deal with theses devilish people. So let them be and you keep studying by various sources and by yourself too, Buy the translation of Holy Quran and the books of Ahadith, Saheeh Bukhari and all.
May Allah bless you and guide you on every path of life~!
