The Prophet Mohammed(saw) in a hadith said to love what Allah(swt) loves and to hate what Allah(swt).
Bukhari Vol3 Book 43 Number 637:
Narrated "Aisha:
The Prophet said, " The most hated person in sight of Allah is the most quarrelsome person."
There are also other places which tells us what Allah(swt) hates.
So, I do not think we can say he(Prophet Mohammed(saw)) never hated if it is said he hated for the sake of Allah(swt) and loved for the sake of Allah(swt). We also need to remember that we are not like Allah(swt) nor are we like Prophet Mohammed(swt) our hate would be different.

Omg no! no no..he didn't ever hate anyone and thats what was was so unique about him. People treated him badly espcilay when he tried to preach the true message of Islam. But no, he never spoke a harsh word, did a bad deed or think bad in anyway. Basically he was just like a true prophet of God should be and is.Just like those before him-Jesus(Isa),Moses(Musa) etc.
I don't know why some people think that.Like i mean non muslims in paticular.God knows where they get that idea from, i think its from different interpretations made my extremist and the way Islam is portrayed these days. Truth is though, like i said Muhammed (s.a.w) was kind to all, even those who hated him at the time. It's therefore not supring that many people converted to Islam when they met him.

The great prophet Muhammad never hated anyone, any more than the great Master Jesus did. Much of what they both preached and was recorded, was changed and twisted by both religions to cause religious wars throughout the world.

Prophet Muhammad didn't hate anyone. He was compassionate to all of mankind. Some times when he was asked by angels for them to harm people who harmed him, Prophet Muhammad refused and prayed for them instead.

Muhammad was a shop-keeper in what is now modern day Mecca, and led a war to reclaim Mecca from idolitrist in the holy city. His idea of Muslim religion is much like modern Christianity in that idol worship was forbidden, a law handed down from Abraham. He lead the revolt from what is now modern day Meddina.
So I guess he hated Idol worshippers as blasphemous to the one true God, if hate is the right word.
PS. Jenn below nailed my point, hate may be the wrong word here. Despised Idol worship, would that be "hate" or Righteous Indignation maybe?
