It usually doesn't happen until the day after Thanksgiving, but this year, two of my local radio stations have started playing Holiday music 24/7 BEFORE Thanksgiving! I'm so happy!!!! lol But I'm wondering, are they going to start on Labor Day next year? :)

Last year at Christmas time i posted a comment to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I just got this e mail telling me that i violated a rule or something. How rediculious do you all think this is? Im sure this one will also get me into trouble because i have used the word Christ as in Christmas. So even though I know it is a little early MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Hi. For Christmas, I have a budget of 100 dollars, but I would like to spend less than 10 dollars on each present I give. I plan on making more money, but here are the people I want to give presents to:

A)My 2 best friends.
B)little gifts for other friends (cheaper than 2 bucks)
C)dad ( i am buying something for my mom already)
D)my sisters: one is 8, one is 6, and the other one is 2. the older ones dont like prncesses stuff but the 2 year old loves Dora the Explorer.
E)and maybe something small for my teachers and other "sorta" friends.

Please give an idea for each i'd love it!
Really easy ten points!

I want to get my uncle/godfather something for Christmas, but I don't have a lot of money to spend. I don't want to only get him a card, and I think that money would be lame, seeing as I don't have a lot to spare. Any suggestions?

If your parents are still living, please make every effort to spend time with them this Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday season. This will be my first Christmas and Thanksgiving without my father. He passed away earlier this year from cancer. We had wonderful Christmases together, so I don't have any regrets, but I'm not looking forward to going to my parents house and not seeing him. So, no matter if you're arguing with your parents, don't like them too much, whatever...put that stuff behind you and realize that life is short. People you love will be gone long before you're ready to let them go.

As I read these questions regarding this whole Santa issue in Australia and then read the answers it appears that most people are sick and tired of the whole being politically correct issue. So I have to ask, when is everybody going to stop tip toeing around this issue?

In a town close to my own the city council decided not to display Christmas trees this year. The Christmas tree isn't a reliqious symbol; don't these people do their research? People get sued for having wreaths displayed on their doors; while in the same breath it is the same people doing the sueing who display Halloween decorations. The last time I checked Halloween started as a reliqious holiday.

Why is it that all it takes is for one person to complain about something to only ruin it for the rest of society who was okay with it?

It seems to me that people do not have the ability to decipher what is factual and what isn't or they have too much time on their hands and have nothing better to do.

My family draws names, we have a spending limit, are there any ideas other than drawing names? Something that still cuts down on cost by only having to buy 1 gift. Grab bags or anything like that?

I am trying to buy the perfect Christmas gift for a wonderful guy. I found a Fossil University of Kentucky watch and he is a huge UK fan. Do you think this is a good gift? Is Fossil still "in"? Is a watch a good gift for a first year Christmas gift?

... just for the ladies on my list? My fiance is buying for the guys.

I'm trying to streach my money as far as I possibly can this Christmas... we have 2x more gals than guys and with both of our families combined there are a LOT of people to buy for. We were still wanting to put away some money for the wedding this month AND have enough cash to travel to his parents' house this Christmas (they live out of state).

I was thinking about knitting scarves & hats for the ladies (in their favorite colors) and maybe purchasing hand made candles to match. Now, after finishing my fourth scarf & hat set, I'm having doubts. They turned out as well as I'd hoped but are these really good gifts?

Ladies, if you got this present from your sister, sister-in-law-to-be, daughter, etc. would you think she was a cheap?

Seriously, I was reading this thing about how the government is concerened that people dont have any money to shop so tehy wont make enough money in sales tax revenue. Wouldnt it make sense for us ALL to not buy in to the hype of buying stuff that you dont need, lets face it if you dont get everything you wnat for xmas, you wont die, will you? Think of all the stuff that is getting recalled from china, dont you think there will be more? And we are supposed to give it to our kids? Tainted with e-coli cheeses and sausages taht you give in a gift basket?
I just think it would be Awesome if everyone would say ENOUGH and not buy into it this year!

Christmas is coming early for my family. Literally. See, my Mom's husband lives in England, and just after Thanksgiving, she's moving back there for a few months, then coming back here again... yeah, it's kind of a cycle. Anyways, the big problem I'm having, is the gift I get her needs to be small enough that she can take it with her to England, yet I don't want to get her some crappy gift either.

She seems to like either "cute things" (which my sister already bought her a 'set' of small teddy bears), and interesting gadgets. Or gag gifts.

Seriously, I really appreciate any help on this. I'm gonna keep searching for something, but any I could definitely use some ideas.
