I am trying to buy the perfect Christmas gift for a wonderful guy. I found a Fossil University of Kentucky watch and he is a huge UK fan. Do you think this is a good gift? Is Fossil still "in"? Is a watch a good gift for a first year Christmas gift?

Can a guy have too many watches? I think he has two but this one is really cool!

Yes, I bought a Fossil watch for my husband 2 years ago for Christmas, it's a very nice watch. Your idea also incorporates something he is passionate about with the University of Kentucky. I think you have a great Christmas gift idea there! And yes, I think it's a good gift idea for the first year Christmas gift.

Good Luck!

I think that is a great gift, esp. since he is a U of K fan. He will always think of you when he wears it. What's wrong with Fossil watches? Who cares if they are "in" or not; they are pretty slick. To answer your question, no, a fella can never have too many watches. My youngest brother has quite the collection of watches, and gave me a Rolex Daytona earlier this year (don't know if it's genuine---the jeweler appraised it, and said he wasn't sure), and whether it is or not, it is pretty sweet. I never wear it, but watches always make great gifts for a fella. An ex bought me a watch early in our relationship, and I really liked it; it's always the thought, but watches for dudes..don't think you'll go wrong. Good luck!

I collect watches the same way I collect earrings. You need a bunch of them so you can wear whatever suits your mood. You can always buy me another watch.

I don't know if I'd get someone a UK watch if they didn't go there. Don't go overboard on how much you spend...it might scare him off, or embarass him if he got you something little.

well, whether it's perfect or not is not the question.. it's whether it's perfect for him!

sounds like you thought it through... and the fact that it is a thoughtful gift helps make it a good one.

as long as you think he'd like it, whether it is in or not is not important. i would never wear a watch with a sports team on it, but then i'm not that into sports... sounds like he is, so yeah... if it's right for him, it's a good gift!
