There's a radio station where I live that just started playing continuous Christmas songs. What happened to Thanksgiving?

i think it might be because christmas music does seem to bring a sense of peace, and it always nice to get that warm feeling started befor the holidays. it puts most people in a good mood.

It doesn't bother me at all. I love Christmas music and don't get tired of it. The radio stations where I live don't start playing any Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving, and even then it's only a handful of songs which they increase the closer it gets to Christmas. But I have been listening to an online all-Christmas music radio station out of NC for a couple weeks now.

The stations I listen to haven't started Christmas music yet. They usually wait until after Thanksgiving. I wouldn't mind if they started playing Christmas music a little bit early though. Christmas music almost always puts me in a good mood.

Perhaps continuous Thanksgiving music just doesn't pull in as many listeners as continuous Christmas music does.

Stattions cater their programming according to advertiser demand. If advertisers are more willing to buy spots during Christmas music becasue it helps sales etc then the stations will do it. Its all about money

Thanksgiving is still coming, but I think the birth of Christ is a lot more important than turkey day, therefore bring on the carols!
