Why do some christians using this site desperately protest this fact?
no-one is saying that THEY are celebrating a pagan festival, just that the date and much of the imagery of the modern christmas festival pre-dates their faith.

My husband is without work and has been for about 6 months now and we don't have the extra $ to spend on family for Christmas.
