I guess I never paid any attention to 'Twas the Night Before Christmas thing, but i did the other day and the guy said "8 tiny raindeer"... Tiny I say! I had no idea they were/are tiny. I thought they was life size. And if they are tiny what was all the clatter up on the roof about? Santa's big butt? And if he is big why are the deer tiny? It just don't add up does it?

My sister in law wants to send us a package of homeade goods. She is adamit about sending us deer jerky ( we dont eat deer, but we aren't going to hurt her feelings). She says its vacuum sealed and should last a few days... but I didn't think you can send perishables without the proper packaging??? Anyone know... not just guesses!!!!

Okay, I know decorating trees inside houses, December 25, yule logs, round decorations all came from Druid traditions (way before Christianity), but what other "Christmas" traditions have pagan roots?

I don't go overboard buying things for my children throughout the rest of the year. No is a word they areuse to hearing. But when it comes to christmas I usually try to get them everything I think they may want and then a few things they don't expect to see. Below is a list of what I have purchased for my children so far, and what I am wanting to know is will they be "thrilled" to see these things or do I need to add a few more items. Any suggestions are welcome.

On December 25, 2005 a young man was talking to his wife on his cell phone about where they were going for christmas when he was interupted by the sound of gun shots on her side. he said her name and she didnt answer. he screamed her name. she didnt answer. he remember her saying something about going to get her brakes fixed, so he ran to the car repair shop. he didnt care that everyone was yelling at him to turn around because there was gunfire in that direction. he kept running. their information just confirmed that he was going the right way. He ran until he reached the end of the road. the sight that was in front of him made him fall to his knees. his wife was being carried by a man that was a complete stranger. the man was walking toward him. he looked at the man as he came closer and laid the mans wife at his knees. she was shot in the shoulder. the man simply said "Merry Christmas" then walked away. the man turned so he could watch the man. as he reached a hill he turned and smiled. as he turned back around the man smiled back. the car repair shop blew up. the man felt sudden happiness that the man was there.

On Christmas Morning three years later, the very same man whose wife had been shot saved a man from a fire.

Two years later the man he saved rescued a little boy from being run over.

Fourteen Christmases later the first man was entangled in a gas station hold up. the gunman holding a gun to his hear demanding money from the cashier. a little boy tapped the gunman on the shoulder and said "Sir." the man looked down at the little boy. the other man could tell that the gunman was obviously homeless by the way his hair and clothes looked. he was desperate for money. the boy held his hand out toward the man. "here you go sir. its my allowance that i was buying candy and grocerys with. ive been saving it for four years. you can have it." the man slowly took the money from the little boy and counted it. "why sonny, this here is two hundred dollars." "yes sir. go on. you can have it." the little boy turned and pulled two dimes out of his pocket and started to search for cheap cans of corn and beans. the homeless man thanked the little boy quickly and ran out the door before the police arrived. the man whose wife had been shot twenty-nine christmases ago walked up to the little boy and handed him two hundred dollars from his wallet. "here." "no sir. its yours." "take it." the little boy protested but took the money. the man helped that little boy find buy as much grocerys as he could with a hundred and fifty dollars and a heap of candy for fifty. "sir, thank you." the little boy smile up at the man as he carried one of the ten bags. "your welcome." the man smiled back as he walked with the boy back to the little boys house. he told the little boy what happened to his wife twenty nine years back. when they reached to house the man knocked on the door and the little boy's mom took the bags from him thanking him over and over. she asked him to stay for dinner but he asked for a raincheck. the two agreed that on new years the man and his wife would come for dinner and watch the ball drop. as the man reached the sidewalk the little boy looked out the door and said "Merry Christmas" the man smiled, the boy smiled back and closed the door. the man arrived home and told his wife what had happened that day. she said "thank god for the man that was there that day twenty nine years ago. but i still wondered where he came from. no one was there but before i blacked out a sudden bright light appeared and with it, him. i didnt think about it until now, but that man was an angel." she looked at ehr husband and smiled. he smiled back. "Merry Christmas"
"Merry Christmas"

This is not a real story. i just wrote it. i hope you realize that when you save someones life the deed continues on, and on, and on, and on, and on.................

MERRY CHRISTMAS
