Coming from a 15 year old who's sis is 17, I'd definately have to say music, or music accessories. Find out what music they like, and get a CD or something like that. If you don't like that idea, then there is always clothing or gift cards. Ross, Old Navy, and Khols are good places if they lean more toward the preppy/modern side. If they have a different personality that leans more toward goth, then you could go for Hot Topic or Spencers. A good place for music gift cards is Sam Goody, or CD Exchange. And of course you could always go for cash ;-) If you want a unique idea for cash, make a bill into as small a cube (by folding) as you can, and put it in tissue paper or a baggie. Then pack and wrap it in as large a box as you can find.
Then of course there is always chocolate.....

2. Boys
3. Clothes

Gift Certificates. I'd try Abecrombie and Fitch, Old Navy and American Eagle stores. You might also just do a gift cert ot a mall.
Another idea is a gift cert for a pedicure and/pr manicure from a cool salon.
Purses are always a hit.

You could buy them a small tv for their room, one that is not real expensive. You could buy them movies,perfume, jewlery, or you could also buy them a Bible. this would help them through life no-matter how bad the problems get. I hope you have a wonderful Holiday and a Happy New year.
