Gift cards or get something that brings back memories or inside jokes for my brother I got him wooden spoons, a locker and antibacterial hand soap. Walmart sells gift sets. Also this site has some really good ideas: http://www.gifts.com/

well.. A visa gift card or somwthing similar is really great. Since they, most likely, dont have credit cards this is just like one. The difference is that you cant add money on later. You can buy stuff online too. It gives them more independence which is really great. This is just an awsome gift that most any one would like.

When I was that age I loved getting makeup. You can get them a palette from Sephora
Try the PJs from old navy every one likes those they are very comfy and cute.
All the rest you risk to get into them not liking it. Unless it is a gift certificate and then they LOVE you

make-up, perfume, music. gift cards are always good. they usually think adults don't know how to shop for them anyway. and there is aways the popular cash. works every time.
