I'm sure no one cares this much but.... my grandma died five years ago around the holidays, and that was the last time I saw my whole family together. After she passed we all grew apart and when my grandpa got remarried it really caused a rift... some people supporting it and some not (long story), so I got kind of Bah humbug! and haven't really celebrated Christmas for four years... but THIS year my family is all going home and I'm just so excited to see everyone!!!

It will be very merry! Spending it with my family and that is the best Christmas for me.

Plus even though I have been naughty - my husband promised to still be nice to me! LOL

DEFINITELY This will be a MERRY CHRISTMAS for me ...

because ... this Empty-Nesting Single Retiree is FINALLY able to ENJOY her HOME ALONE ...

NO one demanding anything, not having to be forced to entertain (toxic individuals and people who just show up), not being enslaved to the stove/dishwasher/laundry/anything, not having to unclog the toilet (because another kid flushed someone else's toy in spite), not having to stand for many days (making food, meals, snacks, everything), not having the MESS of pigs in the home (teens/young adults and their so-called 'friends'), NOT having to pick up after all these lazy individuals/guests.

I can ENJOY the QUIET, the PEACE, the JOY ... of fixing a meal for ONE -- and ONLY ONE! I can SIT DOWN and RELAX finally ... and ...

I have WISHED for this for a Very LONG, long, long time ....

Yes and no. This is my first xmas without my best friend Tobias. My lovely dog just passed away. However, it will be merry in that it is my first xmas with my new baby and she loves the tree and has saved me and my husband from being totally depressed over our huge loss.

As for me, I'll be a whole lot happier when the holiday is over and done. But thank you anyway.
