I think it's time to put this matter to rest and see what non-christains really think, so that we don't have to listen to this debate come Christmas time.

How many people are coming to your house for Thanksgiving dinner?
Are you doing all the cooking or do you have help?

Every Thanksgiving and Christmas it's the same crap. Arguments and tension start to build right around Halloween, the knots and churning in my stomache grow with each passing day as we get closer and closer. I just can't understand why you can't get passed your differences for one day. The bickering starts about whos coming or not coming, and the I don't want him/her in my house after what they said/did....I was brought up in a big family, the holidays were so special and we looked forwarto each of them, now it's like the biggest hassle in the world to ask for one peaceful dinner I just want to give up.. Does any one else go through this at holiday time???Would like some advice on how to avoid the whole thing (short of canceling).

On Thanksgiving my family always goes to my aunt's house to eat turkey and stuff but her turkey is always half-ccoked and everybody is too scared of her to tell her that she can't cook to save her life. What should I do?

The reason I get excited is because I like a lot of the Christmas treats such as gingerbread cookies, candy canes and eggnog. I also notice that everyone is in such a good mood during the Holiday season. What does this say about me?

I have my baby sitter watch my kids at my house she has two kids. I do not want the tree getting torn up so I thought I would leave Santa a note and ask him to put up the tree when he comes to visit. A big surprise for my 3 year old on Chrismas morning. Or not put one up at all what is your opinion?

Well I have just updated my blog at http://survivingchristmas.blogspot.com. I think that cell phones will most definitely dominate all the electronic sales this season. Why? Because everyone seems to own one. When new one comes out, they will try it out, trade and switch the old one for the new one. What's your opinion and what your gift idea? Come and share with me!

My boyfriend and I have been going out for just over 3 months. He's very sweet and likes to get me nice things, including roses on anniversary's and things like that. I want to get him a really nice Christmas present but I'm pretty much broke and won't have any cash until the New Year. I want to get him something and I was thinking, we both love snowboarding, so a picture of us on the hill or on the chair together? And maybe a hoodie or a shirt from a favorite band? Does this sound too impersonal? Guys your input here would be much appreciated.....

I need rules for planning an Office Secret Santa. I am talking of the ritual of leaving someone surprise gifts for like 12 days or something. NOT THE OLD FASHINONED POLYANNA!I have heard of people playing this around the holidays, but never paid much attention to how exactly it goes. If anyone has some guidelines... I could really use them!
Some things I'd find helpful are:
Spending limits
When to start
How many days/gifts per day
When to reveal identities
etc., etc., etc.

THANKS A BUNCH!!

It's the time of year for good cheer - I think it's the time of year to be stressed and can't wait til the new year so i can have a good drink and forget all the hassle I've had trying to get the right gifts for everyone. Any one else feel like this? Baa humbug!
