we dont have thanksgiving in england. i was wondering how long kids get holidays for. and when do the holidays start. whats the date of thanksgiving. america only, not asking for canada thanksgiving.

The actual date is November 23. Thanksgiving always falls on a Thursday in November. Most kids get the following Friday off (known as Black Friday since Christmas Shopping Season has begun).

i once cooked a thanksgiving dinner while visiting english friends,and they made me an xmas pudding ! it was gr8 ! thanksgiving is the last thursday in november.the kids are on holidays thurs and fri,return to class on mon-a nice little 4 day break.longer for winter hols in dec.several times,in plymouth england,they offered thanksgiving dinner to coincide with their sister city,plymouth ,mass. they may still do that,it was just 4 years or so ago.enjoy all ur holidays,i think guy falkes would be fun !!!!!!

It's one day next Thursday. Most people (except retail) get that day and the next day (Friday) off to make it a long weekend.
