i am going to buy a gift for a child from a low income family(or an orphan, they did not tell me), it feels great, why don't you do the same or something similar?

I am Jewish and because Christmas is not my holiday I am going down to a soup kitchen and serve food to the homeless

every year we have a xmas party there are a total of 30 people there and we exchange gifts but this year since the youngest child is 8 we decided to find a family that needed help so we did we found a person who;s house burnt and we are all going to buy a gift and then have a wrapping party to wrap them and then give them to them

My mother works for the welfare dept in our county and most people from "low income" families actually have better 1) clothing 2) food 3) housing than the rest of us poor suckers who work. I would rather spend my money on MY child who suffers cause we have to pay for the "low income" families. Just my opinion.
