OK! So I wanna know how to do this right. I think this girl likes me and WEEKS ago she asked if I had a cell phone when I didn't have one. Does she want my phone number? And how do I tell her through e-mail b/c I leave tomorrow on vacation? I think I may like her. Not sure yet. Any suggestions?

Should this be done only if you have met the lady previously and are acquainted? If not,m when then?
And where should the kiss be placed? On the fingers, the knuckles or the top of the hand opposite the palm?

why do people feel that waitresses especially good ones do not deserve to be tipped? it is very hard work , hard on the back feet and mind, we have to deal with idiots and clean up after a bunch of kids, adults who think waitresses are dumb and beneath them. or why do you think you are doing a favor by saying keep the change and its 12 cents? expalin why you dont feel waitresses should get a tip?

This is the second baby shower she has thrown me (last one was almost 4 years ago) so I'd like something pretty special, but not terribly expensive. My mom is helping her throw it, but I already know what to buy her. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Serious answers only please.

My nephew is almost 10 and is mostly into video games. I am not sure that I want to get him a game as a gift, but all of the gifts I see on websites seem too juvenile.

My best friend and I got invited. But best friend JUST told me. The bday boy is better friends with my best friend. But we're decently close. I am leaving for the bday dinner in 6 hrs. We're in our mid-late 20's.

I have to commute through miles of double-line roads and I very often run into people (this happens at least once a day) who seem to show no respect for others and drive at 25 mph in a 35 mph zone. Of course there is little recourse, I mean hitting high beams or honking the horn or riding their rear results in more confusion and they start to panic. Then the police seem to overlook these people who are out impeding traffic.

FYI, this is in the DC metro area where traffic is a nightmare and slowing down and relaxing is not easy to do, and planning my trips around people who think the world revolves around them (by driving so slow as to aggravate the rest of us) is not practical.

Is this not very offensive? Is it just normal in England?

They are so annoying

- evil dog (knocked me over when pregnant broke my foot, bites my dog, poo's everywhere, allowed to run free, snatches food out of hand and jumps)

-evil child (bully's my son, takes his things, jumps in gardens/cars, wedged bike with metal handles(no covers) in between mine and my hubby's car, hit my dog, litters, also allowed to run free without supervision, hurts baby animals, threatens to kill and slit throats (he is 6)

-idiot mother ( peers through my windows, lets my dog out, trys to convert people, asks dumb questions, encourages and rewards son's behaviour, wont control dog even if on road or in someone elses yard or jumping.
-jerk father ( no regard for any laws or requirements, thinks he is right all the time, other than that ok)

why do these people have no respect for other people? It is disturbing the amount of people who access their house, they attend church but apparently it's the american cult type. What are your thoughts and experiences

My friend is from Newfoundland and says that all Europeans do this...well my husband is Italian and they kiss on both cheeks not on the lips. She kisses her mom and dad on their lips and also friends who are from the same place as where she is from also kisses on the lips to greet each other male or female.By the way she is not a child she is in her mid 30's . I kiss on the cheek myself but would not think kissing my parents or greeting family friends by a big kiss on the lips ...no I don't mean a peck kiss either .Is this cultural ?

I made a bet with a guy I know at school on how I'd perform during this year's Track season. Twenty bucks if I could get my long jump up to 21 feet. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to compete this season. I asked if we could extend our bet to next season since I couldn't compete this season. He said no and demanded his twenty. I told him if he had any decency he'd extend it to next season, but agreed that he had won and will pay him. Do you think the more ethical thing to do, on his part, would be extend our bet to next season?

I was/still technically am anorexic, and I wonder, why do people think its okay for people to comment on how thin I am in a noncomplimentery way and ask why I'm "so effing skinny?" Isn't that inappropriate? Do people just not realize that its hard to just eat and that even I saw myself as gross? I mean seriously, is the impression that all anorexics have no idea how thin they are and see themselves as attractive and want to lose weight? Because thats not true, its impossible to describe what its like to want to gain weight but be afraid of eating and of calories at the same time.

i will be attending a wedding in a church next week and i have a problem in knowing what to wear. Here are some questions

Firstly, what is a smart casual wedding? is it the same as dressy casual or semi-formal wedding?and what would be the most appropriate outfit for a smart casual wedding in a church?

Secondly, can i wear a knee length dress for a smart casual wedding? i am afraid that it would be too formal.

Thirdly, should i wear heels and carry a small clutch bag?would it be a little to formal for a smart casual wedding?

And lastly, is wearing a simple blouse and skirt a little too informal for a smart casual wedding?
