A pedophile is someone who sexually molests children.
And they should be insulted.
Being insulted should be the LEAST of their problems.
Being put to death should be the first of their problems.

I've never heard anyone in England use that as an insult.
To tell the truth, I've heard more people call people that over here in America than anywhere else. They usually mean it in a half-joking, half-derogatory way. The people I've heard say it are usually the last people you'd want to hang around, since pedophilia is not a joking matter.
It's incredibly offensive in any country, as the insulter is inferring that you like to inappropriately touch small children.

It is very offensive. It could be more of a racist comment than anything if you aren't caucasian. It's a sign of ignorace and zenaphobia. Ignore them. It reflects far worse on them than you ;)

Over there the insults are very differnt. I ment one once before and he called me many weird words. It is just because of the differnt culture. and how they grew up

they do it because they have learned a big word and think that they will offend you...honestly i just laugh and ask them if they feel better about themselves because they were able to pronounce it properly...if they don't pronounce it properly i tell them how...its the little digs in life that make you smile...
