I have a teenage brother and his room is a big mess. He is so lazy that he sleeps on the floor with the dogs! I don't want to shout to make him clean up his room. He is not embarassed that other people see it and doesn't give a damn. Not only is his room dirty, he takes his garbage to the kithchen, living room, bathroom and every room in the house except mine. This is giving me headaches!

I have tried the whole... "stop looking and they'll come find you" and " talk to them as friends first and then look for potential dates" but man is this guy helpless... he is playing in the special olympics and he's trying to bat in the major leagues and he has no idea of why that won't work... and I get to hear all about his girl problems so please please please... any suggestions for how to help him without hurting his feelings would be greatly appreciated.... thanks...

for example, when you know somebody is being really rude and uncooperative, but you know you need help , how do you stop yourself from losing control?
i am generally a very tolerant person. But lately i have found some people being purposely irritating. How do deal with my anger?

OK fellas! Question for ya. Need serious answers.

When I go out to get the paper in the morning (usually 6:30 am or earlier), should I wear:

A - my bathrobe (dressing gown for you British guys) and socks.

B - my pajama bottoms and socks.

I've been doing B but my back's a bit on the hairy side and I'm starting to worry about freaking out the neighbors! (grin)

I'd thought about A but my robe is kind of torn up and washed out and I'm not sure they'd want to see that either.

On a related note... when I go out to check the mail or do yard work on weekends, I've been wearing just jogging pants [trousers], socks and sport shoes. But as above, I'm starting to think I should wear a top too.

So what do you guys think?

This is a question aimed at waiters and waitresses in the UK. A lot of restaurants seem to include a service charge on the bill. Is this generally an excuse for the owner to take more money off the customer than it said in the menu while still only paying waiting staff minimum wage? Or does the amount specified actually go to the waiting staff, and you only need to leave a tip if you want to tip more than that?

My darling betrothed is, oh, dare I say it, a spoon biter!Eoyerrwugh! It drives me mad. Here's the deal: when we met, I noticed SOMETIMES he has a tendency to bite down & pull out with the teeth on his eating utensil, be it a fork or a spoon, or even the occasional spfoon. Eeer. "This is gonna be a problem for me," I thought upon 1st hearing it. He's splendid in every other way and if this thing didn't DRIVE ME INSANE (I don't know why...I've TRIED tolerance for over 2 years now...) I'd just go on saying nothing. INITIALLY, I talked to him about it maybe on 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. He declared that he'd never gotten any other complaints and promised (stubbornly) that HE'D NEVER ATTEMPT TO CHANGE IT ~ it's something he's done all his life. When we eat breakfast especially and have a regular discussion, I'm sitting there steaming, praying through it, doing deep breathing, etc...just trying to be tolerant, since he says he won't change. I need your solutions before I snap. PLEASE.
