Yesterday, I went downstairs and over to the cabinet where I keep my dishes. Luckily, before I got any further, I noticed pieces of glass on the floor (and I was barefoot!) I found a broken glass in the trash. Apparently, my roommate/landlord broke 1 of my glasses & didn't even sweep up. She didn't leave a note saying sorry for breaking my glass or to even watch out for broken glass on the floor...and it's right in front of my cabinet door where I walk everyday! Am I right in leaving a note saying "Whoever broke a glass, there is still a lot of glass on the floor!" or should I clean up her mess? This happened yesterday & while I have not seen her, she has been by the house (but hasn't seen my note; I just put it up). Do you think I am justified in being upset??

I like watching old movies where the men all wore hats and suits and ties. The ladies wore hats and dresses with nice shoes. That may have been a bit extreme but now everyone is running around in t-shirts, sweatpants and flip flops.

I have two rings, both with personal importance to me. One is a ring my father gave me right before he died. It's a ring he wore every day since before I can remember, a simple braided band of silver. Obveously, it is very special to me and I treasure it greatly. But my boyfriend just gave me a ring (a heart of pink stones) as well. It's not an engagement ring, so I don't feel right wearing it on my left hand (that's the engagement/wedding band hand, right?) but my right ring finger is where I've been wearing my dad's ring, and it won't fit on any of my other fingers.

What do you think I should do? Both rings mean a lot to me; one, the love and memory of my father, the other, the love and devotion of my boyfriend. I would like to wear both, but I've only got one right ring finger. Should I suck it up and wear one on my left hand? Alternate and wear each every other day? Is there another option I'm not seeing?

Thanks in advance!

Why must they tell everyone except me about it? I don't think I'm a very intimidating person, I just wonder why they can't have enough respect to say it to my face.

When someone's "going to town" on you, and you pass gas, is that rude? Should you say "excuse me" and expect the person to continue or is game over?

Kind Vern in the bank confides that Angie has promised she won't yell, won't tell and be grateful as Hell. Angie's a lovely girl but a bit large, about 30 and probably new to it. Vern said I can't do it mate. What's the etiquette here?

I ve come across scores of very very decent and many very high ranking officials from the corporate world as well as the civil service doing these acts. It sets me wondering if this is proper to be spitting once thru with one's business in the urinal and why do they use their cellphones there? Do they want to prove their authority or somethin? or is it snobery? I think it is snobbish to do so. How do you feel abt it?
