There's a new racism out there. It's the judgement of people with likes and dislikes. They are automatically called racists. You can no longer say you prefer to date asian men/women or caucasian men/women without being called a racist. This example has nothing to do with racism, just personal preference. So the new racism is the prejudice ( which means pre-judging someone ) against those whose personal preference towards race.

No, it is not disappearing. It might not be as strong as it used to be, but it still there. It is more subtle at times, or it is more selective.
I have seen people denied promotions at work, and the first suspicion was racism, but the reason given was that the other person had a more varied work experience, or that they wanted new ideas coming in from another organization, etc. Seems awfully funny how some people can be good enough to do a job on a temporary basis, but when the job is available for permanent status, they get denied with excuses that make no sense.
So, racism is still there and people will find ways to use it so that it doesn't appear that they are racist.

It's not disappearing or disguised that well. Those who are subjected to it, know it as soon as they see it. People who say it's going away either live in a fantasy world or are oblivious to the real world.
I don't believe that racism or any of the other "ism"s will ever go away. It may get better, or less pronounced, but people tend to be more comfortable with those things familiar. So, if you have never been exposed to people different than you, your only experience is what you see on TV and read in the paper. (And, we all know how true to life those sources can be.) You live in a small town or have your little neighborhood in the city and along comes a Black family, Mexican family, Muslim family, etc. A lot of people will have preconceptions about them and allow that to turn into racism. In our culture, where we are so segregated, I think it's inevitable. It's sad, but true.
That being said, don't you dare allow your "issues" to impede on my rights. It's illegal and immoral. You don't like African Americans, Cubans, women, Christians, professionals, homosexuals, Jewish people, Muslims, etc...fine, but you can't judge them based on that. They/I am entitled to the same jobs, housing, loans and schools as everyone else.
Think what you want...act within the law!

Hopefully, there are fewer racists out there these days than in the past, but I also think that there is a lot of prejudice still, disguised and not disguised. It's perhaps transferring onto new groups of people, like Muslims and Mexicans.

Racism is just disguised into smiling actor's faces who act like there really is an integration of blacks and whites
everyone, at one point or another, has referred to another race in a discriminating manner
racism is now just hidden behind closed doors

Nowadays, it's disguised as "compassion, "tolerance," "open-mindedness," and "multiculturalism."
Take your garden variety "liberal" these days. They treat minorities in a condescending and patronizing manner - virtually like PETS. This is disgusting, and is far more dangerous and insidious than guys wearing white sheets and burning crosses.
Oh, and no one even bother trying to tell me how "open-minded" EUROPE is. That place has the most odious immigration laws on the planet. Lily-white Europeans HATE non-whites, and always will. It's just easy for them to fold their arms and say "Oh, America is SO racist..." But Mohammed and Jose are starting to move into their neighborhoods, and they don't like it ONE BIT... look at the race riots in France, Germany, and England.
With all our debates about illegal immigration here, I haven't heard of any accounts of violence or riots breaking out, like they do in racist and xenophobic EUROPE.
Love, Jack

It's certainly not disguised on this site, and it's disgusting.
It's not only American in which it is prevalent, either. Just look at the narrow-minded questions and answers posted incorrectly in almost every topic.
