I have recently met a very nice older lady the same age as me. Been round London several times, it is great she has an older persons free travel pass as well so don't have to pay the fare. She has asked me to go to europe with her on holiday. Am I expecting too much to hope I may get something more intimate as well?

When I first started the filfthy habit when i was about 14 and 15 i said i'd stop by the time i was 25. well that b'day has just passed and i had given up for periods of months on end. Now i am just a smoker when i get drunk. Which aint that bad.

However, With the no smoking in public starting next year in England, just wondered how many were stopping smoking beforehand or waiting for the ban or who will carry on regardless.

There are so many things that can easily upset us in life. A guy cuts you off while driving, a woman pushes you on purpose while shopping, or a store clerk won't serve you because she is busy talking on her cell phone--there's always something.

What are some of the ways to calm youself down so as NOT to get upset about these things? I am sick of reacting (e.g., honking the horn, calling her a b*tch, etc.)--is there anything I can do, in a classy manner, to move on and forget about these rude people? Or maybe reacting to them is the best solution...

Could you share some of your strategies? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I work for a small company and the owner of the Company is probably a 7 figure type-guy and he will not lift the lid. This is unfathomable to me. Does anyone else out there have a similiar situation, or is this guy a whack job?

I just started working for this woman 3 weeks ago, and now she is out of state because her son is in a coma. I am taking care of all the business while she is gone. When she comes back, is a sympathy card appropriate if her son does not wake up? Will it seem like I am sucking up to her?

I know, it's the thought that counts, but come on, they're just flowers, they really don't smell like anything more than dirt, and they die in weeks if you're lucky. If a girl gave me flowers, I would smile, but I would def. think to myself "What the **** am I going to do with these?" before never calling her again.

Note: The key to a guys heart is food and videogames...oh and tickets to sporting events. Take notes ladies.

I'm determined to create a buzz in our country about bringing back the lost art of common courtesy. Many of us were raised with these practicies, but it seems fewer people know how to be a good "neighbor" these days. What are some of the things you do to be courteous? (remember flicking your high beam to allow another car to pass? or holding the door for a stranger? )

Basically I've realized that I'm an insensative a$$hole. I was watching Last Comic Standing and my friends were mad at me that I wasn't clapping for the handicapped comic...I said, whatever, you guys aren't clapping because he's funny, you're clapping because he's handicapped....

Just for one day, I wander what would happen if we had a Happiness Day, and we were kind to one another, and we showed our love and respect, and we smiled at someone, they say it all begins with one person, sometimes things catch on like wildfire.
Do you think it is worth a try?

I have a friend who always get her way not matter what. She chooses the movies, the resteraunts we eat at, what stores and where we are going shopping at. I just do not speak up because I'm shy. Also, we took a Jazz Dance class over the summer, she was more experienced than me she took dance since elementary school. This was the first dance class I taken before. So, I assumed she would help me with the dance. However, she did not and then at the end of the class she asked me what grade I will
get in that class. I told her I'm hoping for a ''B''. Then, she said '' but, you did not know any of the dances''. As a result I got a ''C'' in the class. So, I know she is self involved. But, what do you do with a friend who simply gets her way all the time? What do you do with a friend who should of helped you with a class but, was too wrapped into herself to do so? What do you do with friends like that?

At a party, what is better:

a. A person that talk nonstop about every stupid thing and comments with stupid replies, and everyone laughs or

b. Someone who's quiet and speaks only with thoughtout and clear phrases.

I know ideally somewhere in between is best, but just between these two, what's more pleasant? What's deemed more appropriate.

If you answered my last one then you will know what I'm talking about. I don’t consider myself annoyingly polite but I do say please and thank you, I do over tip, I say good morning or smile to people on the subway, especially if my eyes meet theirs, I may give up my seat for an elderly person or a pregnant woman on the subway, I hold the door for the person coming out behind me and I always ask the other people in the elevator what floor before I press my own floor button. And now here on answers I usually thank the "best answer person" and sometimes I will send a message, sometimes even to a person whose answer I didn’t chose but appreciated. The message is always the same "thanks for taking the time to answer my question I appreciate it".
Now is this too polite? Is this annoying?
Be brutal I can take it!
And BTW thanks in advance!!
