I've cut into an avacado...you know...one of those cheap treats.
Will it still continue to ripen if I cover it in plastic wrap? Or is it too bad so sad?:( Thank You

What a great group you folks are...Just wonderful and I love
you all. So kind and generous.
My alternative remedies must have kicked in and I am feeling like my old self today.
I have to make this a question and I'm fast using up space...so let's compare food
prices. I think ours here in
N.Cal are the highest. What's
your prices on everyday foods
like bread/milk/eggs/onions/
stew beef/whole chicken/butter/ and whatever
you eat most?????

It is to die for !! If you havent, you have to - its almost better than sex, it IS better than sex with my exe - in fact a number of guys I know - ok except one, but I would want the cheesecake too --

It is sooooooo delicious, the pumpkin cheesecake that is.

A friend of mine had a "take out gourmet home cooked meals store front" and she made pumpkin cheesecake one year, the magazine I was working for did a review and raved about it --

And she couldnt keep up with the stampede for it, once the word got around, it was like 200,000 people descending on her shop after work, demanding MORE pumpkin cheesecake :-)

You HAVE to try it if you havent already. I hope the one I bought is as good as the one I made last year.

I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an' pretend
'cause I've heard it all before
And I've been down there on the floor
No one's ever gonna keep me down again

Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman

You can bend but never break me
'cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
'cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul

I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin' arms across the land
But I'm still an embryo
With a long long way to go
Until I make my brother understand

Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to I can face anything
I am strong (strong)

I am invincible ...

he was a-meeting you here today ?
to take you to his masion in the sky?

She's forty-one and her daddy still calls her "baby"
All the folks around Brownsville say she's crazy
'Cause she walks around town with a suitcase in her hand
Looking for a mysterious dark-haired man

Did you know that Yahoo somehow found a "similar" question titled "What is the relationship between 911 and Sadam?" (this is me rolling my eyes)

Anyhow I bought a BIG turkey yesterday, 88 cents a lb which is an amazing price in Canada AND a pumpkin cheesecake, both of which are residing in the freezer for now.

Getting all hungry and excited thinking about turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, pumpkin cheesecake, yams, brussel sprouts, a good white wine, peas and carrots, mashed potatoes and turkey gravy, hmmmmmmmm

I am having my kids and their partners over, hopefully the little guy, and one of the kids friends, only one at this point in time.

AND my daughter is getting married on the 6th but they arent leaving on the honeymoon until some time in November. Its going be a very busy weekend.

She's not the brightest bulb in the box, and she's had some awfully bad examples to follow and worse advice.

Somebody's taking serious advantage of a person who is not armed for a battle of wits.

Lest you wonder, it's in senior citizens because seniors are the most likely to view this situation dispassionately.

At issue is a decision to refuse free doughnuts, pies and breads that were being donated to senior centers around 'Putnam County, north of New York City. Officials were concerned that the county was setting a bad nutritional precedent by providing mounds of doughnuts and other sweets to seniors."

What kind of a society is this in your book? In mine it's fascist. If my choice is to go from a hart attack that is my decision to make, Not the decision of some over paid egotistical bureaucrat.

Okay, now that I have vented I can have a good day, thank you.

I'm 50 years old. I've been invested in the stock market before the DJI30 reached 2,000. I invested in Wal-Mart, IBM, Apple, Microsoft and Home Depot when they became IPO's.

Life's been good. I have no debts, I own my home.

I only work because I need health care to protect my health and wealth.

If Hillary guarantees health care, I'm thinking about quiting work and signing on with her plan.

And since I won't have an income, I would technically be poor, so my health care should be free.

This will give me more time to do those things I've always wanted to at home, and give me more time to see my doctor to get those little things taken care of, those things I don't want to spend my money on.

How many other close to retirement people plan to take advantage of the tax payers charity and quit work as I do?

And do you see any disadvantages to this plan?

Do you think it's changed much since your childhood days.

I seem to remember it being wet and miserable for most of July and August, but within days of going back to school, the sun came out.

In the south, September was misty mornings, and warm sunny days. The storms were in October, not quite as bad as 1987 though.

At the village shop this morning the following conversation:

"I think Mr. W. had the wrong newspaper delivered this morning"
"Telephone him and ask then"
"No - we are not allowed to do that"
"why?
"Because he might think that we are questioning his political leanings!"

Absolutely true!
Has the world gone mad?
If somebody rang me to ask if I had received the desired newspaper this morning - I don't know that the first thought that would cross my mind would be - "are these people trying to find out how I voted four years ago!"

A friend of mine asked the chap in the garden centre if a water feature that she had her eye on was very expensive. His reply was "I would rather not comment madam as my answer may offend your financial standing" ???

What in the name of all that is good and holy is going on?

PLEASE - I WILL NOT BE OFFENDED - JUST GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER!

Or if I am offended I shall walk out of your shop - and slam the door!

I am having a ball on YA with my 'secret life'! - but I know that it is causing confusion for folk just 'tuning in' - to the point that some of them are getting quite cross - and with reason I guess.

Perhaps I should not take so much for granted in thinking that EVERYONE is IN ON IT - I would like to apologise but the people that I want to apologise to don't know what the hell I am talking about even now!

Also - thanks to everyone for taking part in the madness!

SLK - you are a naughtier girl than me!

Listen - if I suddenly disappear I guess I will have fallen foul (!) of somebody who has just had enough of the confusion - if not - who knows where this thing will take us!!

Is this whole episode a symptom of our senile decline!
It's good fun if it is!
All of you - YE ARE NAE WISE!!

Whatever happened in or around the hen hoouse over the weekend - and we will talk of it no more - has given Hetti and Girls a new lease of life!

All is well.

The Brave and HONOURABLE McTeal is proved himsel' ta be a man of his word and his post was never abandoned fer mare then the shortest time - yon George Bush calls them COMFORT BREAKS I ken - so there was never any danger to the chooks.

Whether or not you bonnie Aussie lass Jilly of the Jiggling Jugs Inn was ever in any danger is another thing! We can only pray that the lass can handle a man of the calibre of the Majestic McTealc!

Looking back into both their histories I see they are both hailing frame the same clan - Fergusson - so the same honourable blood runs in them - we will say no more - the Fergusson are known to be FIERCE - WILD FIERCE!

The hens are happy. the puppy is coming to terms with his loss, Mr; Eyedontnose is comfortable re-instated into the recovery position. I will get over it - in time!
