Kayboff, you are great with your punctuation. Most of us make mistakes. I typed the word joint instead of join on a question. I am unable to change it. I was humiliated.
My punctuation is average. I can remember a lot of things not to do but not all of them. One of the funniest things I ever saw on TV was a comedian who actually makes noises for the punctuations. I wish I could remember who he was. It was someone like Sid Caesar.

Its...it's...and the ever lovely t'is. Punctuation is breathing [commas, right?] and shutting up [the period, period] and stopping for a while but not forever [semicolon, colon] and the Auntie Mame flings.........to say nothing of ------- and the hear this or I'll kick you !!!!! and the shy * [just had to tell you about this further down the page] and seen as a handful of pepper in the stew of palaver, it's OK as you go along. God doesn't grade us, Sister Mary Veronica used to, and even Edna St. Vincent Millay could have used a little elision now and then. Or was that Ralph Elision...or Edna Furbish... just give your heart [and old fridges] to St. Vincent de Pauwl and all will be well. See? We're still friends in here, right?

Not perfect...but I try to do it as correctly as I can...BECAUSE...there are so many kids on these sites who obviously have NEVER been taught ANY punctuation or spelling or grammar. I have a spelling corrector on here..the red line and then google to find correct spelling. I just do the punctuation the best I remember it...from the days when we were taught punctuation. Besides...I was a teacher...I still have that hanging over me. But , I still do the ........ instead of commas....just 'cause I want to. Still, I'd hate for people on here to be "judging " my punctuation or spelling or grammar. I think I'd probably stop doing YA if they did that to me. I usually don't tell people I was a teacher...because then they"put it to ya'" But , I try to be a little bit of a good example for the kids. I figure if they just "see" it correctly, it might stick in their subconscious. BUT SOMETIMES...I wanna do like the kids do...idk...btw...wtf...lol ....just go WILD !!!!!! LOL

I don't believe punctuation is a law breaking deal. I would rather not see any punctuation and just be able to read the typed words. My punctuation can be award winning but, who cares? I don't.

Mine is good, thank you very much. However, I just asked a question, and left the punctuation out. I didn't have enough characters to finish the question. Did not want to go into the add more info button.

My punctuation is really pretty good; however, I do have times when I tend to throw the commas around a bit too much.

Most of the time there is no problem. I wish Y/A would "overhaul" their spell check, it really leaves a lot to be desired. It can't even catch some of the typically misspelled words.
I know this to be a fact, because I typed some off the wall stuff that I knew was not a word & the stupid thing told me everything was correct.
What good is it, if it doesn't work correctly.?

My punctuation is just about pluperfect. I can't add or subtract worth a hoot, but i can spell and punctuate and parse and conjugate and diagram all day long.

I think that my punctuation is ok. My spelling has gone to the dogs since Spell check.
But Yahoo spell check never quite knows what I am trying to spell or say.
