It is to die for !! If you havent, you have to - its almost better than sex, it IS better than sex with my exe - in fact a number of guys I know - ok except one, but I would want the cheesecake too --

It is sooooooo delicious, the pumpkin cheesecake that is.

A friend of mine had a "take out gourmet home cooked meals store front" and she made pumpkin cheesecake one year, the magazine I was working for did a review and raved about it --

And she couldnt keep up with the stampede for it, once the word got around, it was like 200,000 people descending on her shop after work, demanding MORE pumpkin cheesecake :-)

You HAVE to try it if you havent already. I hope the one I bought is as good as the one I made last year.

You are just DETERMINED to force me into making this for Thanksgiving aren't you? It's not as if it's hard to do, but it's just the PRINCIPLE of the thing...I know darn well that my family is NOT going to want to give up one of the other pies that I already agreed to make...

Deep dish Apple Pie with Parmesan Cheese crust.
Two pumpkin pies from the recipe my Mom made for 70 years.
Lemon meringue pie from scratch (extra tart).

Now all I have to do is keep my daughters away from the Seniors site until your question passes into oblivion...thank you very much!

My husband is the cheesecake expert in the family, but he said he's never tried pumpkin. Don't you just love it when something is that good! I remember having a pumpkin cake a few yrs back that I really liked. There is a lovely pumpkin patch a few miles away, I bet you could make some wonderful homemade goodies with those.

Yes I have. It was a bit disappointed in the taste. I love pumpkin pie but I will stick to the regular cheesecake.

I am glad you enjoyed it. I bought several of the pumpkin cheesecakes for friends and I hope they were not as disappointed as I. I purchased mine from The Cheesecake Factory. I have not tried to make one, perhaps I should.

Thanks.

I haven't tried it, but I have a Jack Daniels triple chocolate cheesecake recipe that is to die for! I'll look for a pumpkin recipe. Sounds really good!

nope sorry i don't like pumpkin

is that a collective gasp i hear from the crowd?!

never had a birthday cake until i was an adult - always a pumpkin pie with candles.

in case you missed it, i was born on thanksgiving so even though it didn't always fall on it, that's when we celebrated it

i do love plain cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake and chocolate cheesecake though -- does that redeem me some?

I hadn't heard of it until now. Sounds good! If it is anything like the pumpkin ice cream I used to get in Wabash, Indiana when I taught there, it surely would be a treat. I must try some!

Ahhhhh, yes. And absolutely superb!

It seems the homemade ones are always supreme because you can adjust your spices as you go.

Speaking of cheesecake, I think I'll just pop out and pick up my second, third or fourth favorite, strawberry, cherry or chocolate.

Excuse me (door slam)
