I think we British would be absolutely lost without the weather to talk about. It allows us to grumble in complete harmony with a stranger. Even may I add a foreigner who is largely ignorant of the British way of life

We were living in London in 1987, when they had the hurricane. And I went downstairs, to get something to eat in the middle of the night.
I looked out of the window, and wondered why the tall pine tree was bending down to the ground, with the wind.
When we woke up the next morning, we had no power,TV. My gosh I had forgotten that!
The British weather! I love the country. but then I married a Brit. What can I say?

The problem it isn't our weather its foreign. Its them immigrants they are bringing their lousy weather here with them; I mean tornado's we never had them before the Poles, Finns, Estonians and all the other Pakistanis came here and the floods in Hull and Sheffield we never had them did we, them's the sort of things they have in the far east we don't have any Gopthor wood here and I am a technician no one ever taught me how to build Arks.
Its all that Mr Browns fault and Tony Blair wheres he when we have tornado's in the Midlands I'll tell you he's in the Middle east on a peace mission for the U.N. He wont be getting his roof blown off or his bus shelter blown over. If we can't stop immigration we should a least make them keep their horrid weather in their own countries not ours.

The weather has changed since I was child both in Hereford where I grew up and in S. Yorkshire where I now live.My husband grew up here and he tells me that they had bitterly cold winters with heavy snowfalls and often long hot summers. I have lived here for 22 yrs and can only remember a couple of really bad winters. It was the same in Hereford.

Jesus grew to become into white? Wasn't he Semitic (or a least a great color of brown)? He ought to certainly have recognized extra Mediterranean/center jap. He grew to become into Jewish in spite of each thing. He might have been extra or much less an comparable color because of the reality the interior of sight persons, or consistent with possibility somewhat darker little question. The Vikings visited a minimum of 500 years before united statesa. grew to become into talked approximately by potential of the something of Europe (by potential of way of Christopher Columbus). I many cases come across it rediculous on an identical time as human beings ask who have been given right here for the period of united statesa., and grant some ecu because of the reality the respond. easily it grew to become into the interior of sight persons who have been given right here for the period of it first.

Maybe I am just looking back through rose tinted glasses but I remember warm summers and cold winters, I don't remember the weather being as changeable as it is now.
Certainly don't remember tornado's being reported in this country.

I dont think its changed much really. From what I remember as a kid, it seems just as diverse now as it was then! I think there is just more made of it now via the media!

almost every year of my childhood and young adulthood it was like this year. Then we had quite a few hotter drier summers. Seems like its back again.
